...and I just can't fucking study any longer! I've already studied so much? Do you guys believe in the concept of "over studying?"

GOOD LUCK KS!

yay!

And I do believe in over-studying... it can totally burn your brain out... so take it easy. It sounds like you've been studying your ass off anyhow. You'll do fine!

I took the GRE last April, it was not that bad, I didn't do well on the math portion but the verbal and the writing brought my score up. just a hint learn all those words as in Learning: college

a: blah blah : blah blah

there are so many of those on there it is ridiculous

take the tests on line they do help.

good luck don't stress you'll do fine!

It's not bad at all, KS. They make it seem super official by making you promise to "not divulge any questions to any living person or entity," but it isn't too bad.

One can totally overstudy. Your brain best retains what you learn at the beginning and end of sessions. Therefore, you actually learn lots more from numerous short sessions than fewer marathon sessions.

Anyway, take my advice: relax. Brush up mostly on your math -- math is universal law, absolute (well until you get WAY advanced), and never changes. But as far as verbal and analytical writing goes, once you got certain communication concepts down, you can't do much more -- the test's actual content is so random and subjective.

Know what will honestly help your verbal and analytical writing scores? Believe it or not, having involved, well plotted debates with your wife or assholes here on the org! The GRE's verbal section pretty much tests your ability to dissect things said to you -- fallacies, inferences, analogous parallels, deductions, etc. The analytical writing section tests your ability to manage those dynamics in your own communications. If you can understand on several levels EXACTLY what someone says to you and can be just as savvy, multi-layed and (most importantly) ORGANIZED in the counter-arguments you create, you'll totally ace the test. In summary, try to think like a crooked lawyer until you take the GRE -- Pick some verbal fights with people, then strip down what they say layer-by-layer. It really will help!
