#1 is easy - no amount of money is worth being robbed of your physical freedom.
#2 is much harder. since there is no monetary value that could possibly be placed on that, i suppose the best thing a person could do is give back to society in general - you know, the karma thing. (this sounds incredibly pretentious, i know, but it's the best i can do at 6:30 in the morning)

Ardeo said: 1) would you take the risk of 4 years in the slammer in return for more money than you can have ever made working 9-5 seven days a week for 100 years? but you'd have to leave the country once you were released.
are we talking a Federal "Pound me in the ass" Prison? 2) if someone just spent 30 months in the slammer when their sentence could have been vastly reduced had they mentioned your name in court (and taking you to prison with them)...how could you pay that person back? a case of fine beer, a pack of smokes, a football game and some chicken wings. just hanging out with the man and tellin him you appreciate it. thats what friendship is all about. if he isnt married, getting him a nice hooker wouldnt hurt either. [This message was edited Fri Aug 8 5:43:29 PDT 2003 by Ardeo] Fuck yea Amsterdam will do the trick. A shitload of beer, lots of hookers and a stash of weed. Just you and one of your boys. Thats the shit man. All you (or whoever) has to do is show the man he is appreciated. Let him know you would do the same for him. Thats what friendship is all about. And like The Steve Miller Band once said: "Go on, Take the money and run... woo woo woo." Grab the loot and get the fuck out of dodge. Get your butt to mexico, grab a seniorita and a dos equis, sit back and relax. any way i can get in on this loot? "I'm here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum"

wonder who you is talkin bout but if u dont mind putting your business out its cool. i live a clean life, but if you are gonna steal, then steal big. four/five years in prison isn't really that big a deal. there is a whole world to explore, so it is no big deal to have to leave the country. my thoughts on your second question, you don't need to pay that person back, you give them much respect and look out for the brother. wouldn't you have done the same for him that is the rules of the game ..

Acquiring money that does not belong to you is wrong. Being caught and serving time does not then mean the money is rightfully yours. 2) if someone just spent 30 months in the slammer when their sentence could have been vastly reduced had they mentioned your name in court (and taking you to prison with them)...how could you pay that person back?

Ardeo said: The money is unclaimed dividends...why should it go to some fuckers who can afford to burn money???
If the "unclaimed dividends" belong to you, then by all means, enjoy the proceeds. But we rarely incarcerate people for taking their own money. Usually, you face "years in the slammer" when you do something wrong. I dont see the guys in The City living an honest life
Whatever that means. You may need better role models. "When they tell me 2 walk a straight line, I put on crooked shoes"
