I said this in a post a while ago...I work for a police department in the San Francisco bay area. I would much rather deal with someone high on weed than someone high on alcohol. Alcohol is so much more destructive IMHO. Drunks are the biggest assholes...spitting and pissing on themselves, always wanting to fight. Most of our physical altercations are with drunks. But peeps high on weed...mellow fellows.

Well that all depends on if she would arrest us for possession. hmmm

Dudes, small amounts of MJ gets tossed into the garbage can or flushed down the toilet all the time. A lot of times it's found during a pat search. If the amount is small enough and it looks like it's for personal use and not packaged for sale, it gets flushed. It's not worth the paperwork. A lot of times it depends on the arresting officer, what mood he or she is in on that day, and the demeanor of the person arrested. If he or she is an asshole, they get charged. If the person is cooperative, depending on the amount, it gets tossed.

Warning..
The surgeon general warns:
Cigarette smoking is dangerous,

Does that mean anything to you?
Then legalize marijuana
Right here in Jamaica

So there'll be
No more smoking and feeling tense
When I see dem a come
I don't have fi jump no fence
Legalize marijuana
Down here in Jamaica
Only cure for asthma
I man a de minister
So there'll be no more police brutality
No more disrespect for humanity
Legalize marijuana
Down here in Jamaica
It can build up a failing economy
Eliminate the slavish mentality
So there'll be no more illegal humiliation
No more police interrogation
Legalize marijuana
Down here in sweet Jamaica
Only cure for glaucoma
I man a de bush doctor yeah!
And there'll be no more need
To smoke and hide
When you know you're taking
A legal ride
Legalize marijuana
Down here in Jamaica
it's the only cure for glaucoma
I man a de minister...

What are your reasons and why is it illegal when alcohol is more dangerous?
1. Drug laws, and their stigmas, are a great way to control people.
2. What's consumed is just what's picked off the plant... like fruit. The plant grows easily anywere. There's little profit potential in such a commodity + it might infringe on the market of a labor/resource intensive (thus highly profitable) commodity such as ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, if people are given an alternative...
3. Just when a proven, and just so happened to be chemical-less, method to make quality paper out of hemp came about, DuPont pattens a chemical to process WOOD pulp...

Those are a few reasons.
