I think most people just took Bad's post as basically celebrating black women, which is quite welcome. True enough though, as you say, taking it literally it makes no sense at all - black women certainly don't have a monopoly on any of those things. As for the racist comments regarding interracial relationships made by one specific person... well we could have removed them, but sometimes it is interesting to give people some rope to hang themselves with. The discussion went ahead, and almost everyone disagreed with those comments and delivered the Org smackdown to the poster in question. Justice, Org-style... no one got away with anything. | |

yo yo yo, i love my daughters, so don't get to wild with whut you say. Great post BAD. Yeah if I have kids, I've no doubt they might have a hard time like that, due to being half Irish and half Japanese. Shit, they'll need to speak 3 languages which will be hard enough (Irish, Japanese, English) 
But at the same time, they'll probably look very exotic and be considered good-looking (assuming they get my brains and my wife's looks - if it is the other way around they are screwed haha) so it's not all bad. Weird though that you mention your daughters would catch hell for whatever their choice in husbands or boyfriends... Maybe I'm being naive since I myself married outside my race, but over here, no one really gives a shit who you go out with - I can't imagine ever getting any shit for your choice of partner like that. It must be an American thing... Sure my grandmother (being quite old and from an old-generation with old attitudes) was quite surprised the first time I brought home a Japanese girl to meet my family but she wouldn't say anything of it. some people need to check to see if they have a brain or anything intelligent to say before the allow the verbal diarrhea to flow from their mouth... a woman is a woman no matter their race, creed or religion. a perfect example of racism i think someone has issues and needs to seek therapy...i love men, white, black, asian, spanish, native...i don't care...see i have the intelligence to see past color and find out what kind of person he is and how well he will treat me, that's all that really matters...maybe someday tigerslyric you'll realize this and learn to love yourself then maybe someone could learn to love you. good luck with that.

KingBAD's idea to give props to "the sistas" is cool, because many times it seems that they get NO LOVE for all they do & have been through.. but I'm reasonably sure that sistas do what they want & need to do- not necessarily to get praise or credit for doing what any woman (or person, for that matter) should be doing.. so while I essentially agree with the intent- & the content.. some point-by-point comments: ONLY A BLACK WOMAN Can make a $1.00 out of 15 Cents YES, but I've seen it done "elsewhere".. ONLY A BLACK WOMAN Can go from the boardroom to the 'hood and "keep it real" in both places. True. ONLY A BLACK WOMAN Can slap the taste out of your mouth.
