my daughter's friend is injured she is 15

Last night when I got home from class there was an announcement on the news about 2 bodies being found in a house around the corner from ours. A third person was found injured in side and airlifted to the trama center. The media did not release any names but did show the house and I knew the house, I had taken jennifer there. Today I drove by the house and my fears were confirmed, Jennifer's mother and father may be dead. There are candles and signs there made by the neighborhood kids. I am so sad this is so awful. My daughter is not here she is on vacation and I have to tell her that her friend is hurt . This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.

Poor Poor poor baby

Jennifer

Wow...losing a close friend is never easy...just know that a part of them will always be with you and you pay homage to her legacy each time it touches you...hug

My daughter is 15 also. I can't imagine a father taking the life of his own child... I feel your pain, and offer my prayers and support.

How horribly sad. pray

Shocking and terrible news, I know words are not able to help just know that many people are here for you. 127 people have viewed this message and I am guessing many of them did not reply because they didn't know what to say but I am sure their thoughts are with you and your daughter. Sorry I can't be more help but I felt I had to at least reply.

Therapy

I am shocked after reading your post. I feel shocked and saddened.

It might be a good idea to find a therapist during your difficult time, it sounds like you might benefit from regular support and deep and uninterrupted understanding of this very sad situation, which a therapeutic relationship can offer.

I live in the UK and I know that the schools over here are introducing counsellors which can help children within the school. I am wondering if that might be an option for your daughter?

I am sending this with the intention of help during this time for who ever is involved. Often, such sad and shocking events are played down, when possibly, your reaction to the event may be overwhelming. I imagine such an event may raise a lot of issues that are linked with what has happened.

I am touched by this and hope that you are able to express how this has effected you if that is what you choose to do.

Warmth to you rose
