Are you a telephone person? Okay, I'm so not a phone person. Of course I use them, but I'm not surgically attached to them. I will give out my email address, or ask for someone's email address before I consider exchanging telephone numbers! I have an answering machine, but, completely forget to check it for messages. I have a cellphone (for convenience) but often forget to carry it when I take a lunch break; and when I do remember to carry it, I FORGET to turn it on! The other day at work I actually checked the voicemail messages and discovered four calls from a familiar-looking cellphone number. Each time there was no one on the other end, just a lot of background noise.
Then it struck me! It was MY telephone number! (The keypad wasn't locked so maybe being bumped around in my bag set off the redial function, or something.) I thought it looked familiar! I can count the number of people who have my cellphone number, on two hands. So you see, I didn't recognize the number because I don't give it out often--and I never call myself! Do you use the phone often?

If I can avoid the phone, I do.
I can't stand talking on the phone. _______________________________

I hate phones. I'll only use them for chatting when there is a damn good reason (ie. the person I want to talk to isn't within driving distance). My friends who live near me all know to not even bother, and we talk only long enough to set up plans.
There are a couple of exceptions. I talk with my Mom on the phone for AGES, even though she doesn't live that far away. I used to talk for hours with my (now husband) even when we were 5 minutes apart. And. . .the other recent exception knows who they be, methinks.

I started using it much more often when I got a cell phone plan with free long distance, along with free airtime on nights and weekends. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I am not a phone person at all. I have to be in the mood to chat on the phone, which I very rarely am.
However, I am married to a phone person. It is quite irritating. One of the worst arguments we ever had was over the cell phone he got me. I keep it for convenience. He expects me to have it surgically graphed to my hip so he can reach me at will. shudder I'm firmly planted in denial

I agree... although I really don't have much of a choice if I want to talk to someone who isn't nearby. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

I like the phone for convenience. I mostly use it for people to get in touch with me, for finding out where the parties are, who is where, when am I going to see so-and-so.
I use my cell phone to talk to orgers, but mostly my mom and William. I mean, like, where is the sun?

I am supposed to be writing a paper on Japanese films (Family Game, Funeral, Minbo) but I'm so exhausted it wouldn't do me any good. I've got to wake up at 10 a.m. so I might as well try to get some sleep, then do work all day tomorrow. I have a final on Tuesday at 8 a.m.! And then another final on Wednesday! They are very difficult. Fortunately, I will get trashed on Wednesday night. By the way, I saw Kurosawa's last film on Tuesday - Dreams. Some of it was interesting but it was very long and very slow. It also had this forced message, probably because he was nearing the end of his life. Anyhow, it was a real snoozefest. I mean, like, where is the sun?

It was utterly amazing. The colors and images were absolutely beautiful. Just too slow for my taste. I mean, like, where is the sun?

Ya know, thinking about it, I would probably watch it again. I just have to have had more sleep beforehand so I can really enjoy it. I mean, like, where is the sun?

Defenatly NOT!
I hate phones, I'd rather SMS someone than phone em. In some way, I need a phone, but everytime someone calls, I kindda hide away saying to myself I'm not home and they can send me a SMS if it's important.
