Is it really possible to live life without..

Abusing any type of substance? I've been clean for the last three months and sobriety sucks!! Guess I have to take it one day at a time huh? What are your feelings on this?

Substances vary, obviously...it's healthier to abuse some than others. If you must abuse something, then pick one that has short-term, lower-risk consequences.

You can still have fun and not totally annihilate yourself! nod

yeah, that's pretty much what happened with my prince collection... i was out of things to buy in december of 1997, and the purple rain dvd came out. i didn't have a dvd player yet (this was just after "titanic" came out in the theaters), but i bought "purple rain" anyways... then i saw "titanic" 8 more times, bought a hardcore home entertainment system, and the dvd addiction began.

so i guess i owe prince a thank you for putting out sub-standard material over that time period, and the internet so i no longer had to buy bootlegs when he finally started having decent aftershows again (after a 5 year drought, 2002.)

lol

You also have Prince and James Cameron to thank for your giant entertainment system!

My last addiction replacement was boys with recycled clothing shopping. Fortunately, that seems to have tapered off.
