Before this gets out of hand...it's most likely that this woman suffers from Schizophrenia and was suffering a psychotic breakdown.
A friend of mine is bi-polar and she had a psychotic episode during one of her manic phases and she actually thought her daughter was Jesus Christ.
It's very sad and I just hope that this woman is diagnosed properly and medically treated before those hicks down there give her the chair.

You know I respect you, Ice, but in this we just don't agree. Much of history may seem like fairy stories when viewed from a sceptical viewpoint, but that hardly invalidates them as history. In your view, the Bible reads like a fairy tale, but I've read far more fantastical tales even in modern times. We live in an age when people have flown to the moon in tin-foil covered rokets, and magical bullets take out presidents in Dallas.

Growing up in the church I can tell you that it wouldn't surprise me if the many of the fanatics were battling some kind of mental illness.

This is a good point, what makes voices credible when they are telling you to do something nice but mental illness when they tell you to do something bad?
