Glasses for certain. You look like a scrawny little kid in the non-glasses one.

And remember the magazine, Mattrick.

Well, maybe that's because I am scrawny and little. lol And I can still pass for a kid (I think), even though I'm now "justified and ancient," having hit the big 2-5 this year.

And remember the magazine, Mattrick.

Gotcha. wink

Thanks everyone. smile I'm a little surprised at how the voting was overwhelmingly in favor of glasses, but that's fine with me. Contacts can be a pain sometimes.

Yes! I wanna play Matt Barbie! You can give us your measurements, and we can submit outfit suggestions from online stores. You can narrow it down to 5 or 6 that you might possibly be willing to wear, and we'll vote. And then you'll buy it and post pics of yourself on the org wearing it.

biggrin

Anxiety

I think I speak for several of us on here when I say that it's difficult to make an honest decision on this matter without seeing you modeling the glasses/no-glasses options in a series of provocative swimsuit poses. Swimsuit optional, of course.

Just a thought. I like to be helpful with the ideas.

I'm fine with them... I really like my current pair, actually. However, if everyone said that I look better without them, I would have thought about getting a pair of "toric" soft contact lenses.

What are toric soft contacts? Well, when I first got contacts (circa 1994), there were no soft contacts that could correct my astigmatism. The optometrist did mention that I could get soft contacts and wear a pair of thin glasses over them, but I wasn't going to consider that... the whole point of getting contacts was so that I could see without wearing any glasses. So I got rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, the current generation of "hard contacts." I can tolerate them (unlike some people), but I still don't think they're terribly comfortable.

Since then, they've developed toric soft contacts, which can correct both my myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism. If I decide to buy a new pair of contacts some day, I'll likely give them a try.

Anyway, back to glasses... a tip for those of you who are highly nearsighted like me: if you don't want "Coke bottle" lenses, stay away from the chain optical stores and the polycarbonate lenses they sell as "thinner lenses." Find an independent optometrist and mention that you're interested in "high-index lenses"; specifically, 1.66 or higher. They should know what you're talking about... if they don't, that's a sign to go elsewhere. smile

High-index lenses will cost you, but IMHO the results are well worth it. A colleague once looked at my glasses and commented that I must have a low prescription. smile

Off the top of my head:

Height: 5'8"
Weight: 125 lbs.
Dress shirt size: 14.5/32
Casual shirt size: Usually medium, but sometimes small
Waist: 28 or 29 inches
Pants length: 30 inches

Have fun! mr.green
