Random Acts Of Kindness

I was volunteering at my kid's school, selling tickets for the school carnival. This lady was paying by check, and pulled out this very nice pen to do so. I remarked how lovely her pen was... she said, "you like it... here, it's yours."

Now - this is a very, very nice pen.

I said, no... I couldn't. She insisted that I take it, saying it was her 'random act of kindness' for the day...

I was floored. I thanked her (how dare I refuse her, her random act).

This token of affection, this random act of kindness... it really touched me. I was unprepared for it. Made me think.

Afterwards, I too started acting kinder towards my fellow humans... it's contagious.

Hope you catch it. smile

As a matter of fact, I've never seen that film.

Good film but don't you think the end is a bit depressing and unnecessary ?

they could have ended it happily and positively instead I felt like jumping off a fucking cliff

Yes...I like doing that as well...someday just offer to buy whatever the person in front of you in a line is getting...just tell them to pass it along...whenever...it does catch on!
