Oh wow, 25 years? That's as long as I've lived in where I live now. I remember AMP but I'm not sure. when I got on the Org. I was on Housequake much later, but never posted there as much. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

A family member made me an account here in 2000/2001 (before I had a pc). In 2002 i made a new account (finally had my own laptop) Years later I wanted a name change so I made this account. So yeah, 21 years now! damn. I never thought I'd still be here on the org. The main reason I wanted internet back then was to access prince music and websites. There were so many fan site back then, but this seemed like the place to be. Between both accounts I have like 10k in post. I never been super active poster. I come and go. Never been gone for too long. Alot of threads dont intrest me. If you make a thread and ask a question (example) what your favorite this, what do you think of this/that but cant even give us your thoughts or opinions. I wont even bother. If you make a thread and it's a link with no or little insite. Not going to bother if you post a video link and expect me to click and watch it, its not going to happen. Well maybe sometimes I use to go to the chat room. Had some great, funny times there. Made some good friends. I'm happy to see the site is still going. Not sure where I'd go if this place closed down I will take my place, In the great below

The 1997 design of this place is like crack cocaine, particularly in the era of block/ignore lists, upvoting and downvoting posts, Twitter embed blahblahblah. Nothing like OG internet and the org is the last bastion of that classique aesthetique, with the last bastion of grizzled OG famz to boot. [Edited 2/20/23 18:53pm]

There were no 5, 10 or 20 year ones either. I do remember the prevoius one before this one but I was a serious noob so I was barely there before this one came to be. I might have been there a year but I was so green I was still basically just lurking at the previous one. It felt like double dutch, trying to figure out the good spot to jump in, it was moving so fast. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
This moment is all there is...

The majority of org visitors must lurk. It's kind of intimidating when you start out, I lurked for over a decade. The other Prince web locations seem to always be patently aware of the org and its ongoings, even if they outright claim to disdain it. [Edited 3/1/23 17:41pm]
