Late Hollywood siren is reimagined as a magazine cover star in digital shoot that shows her posing in high fashion - but some fans are left outraged by 'exploitative' stunt

CR Fashion Book China teamed up with Web3 platform Amethyst and the Monroe Estate to reimagine the movie legend for modern times
The four issue of the publication sees the late star dressing her in the latest looks from fashion houses such as Thom Browne, Miu Miu and Fendi
All eight cover images will be minted as NFTs and made available through Amethyst’s digital platform
The project was digitally styled by Carine Roitfeld, CR Fashion Book founder and creative director
Fan have been left divided with some claiming the star's image and legacy is being 'exploited' by the project
Monroe has remained one of the biggest stars in the history of Hollywood following her untimely death in August 1962

Well I was born after Marylin Monroe had died. For me, I grew up seing her image everywhere, on clothes, perfurme, posters and so on. So I guess I'm pretty much ok with it.

Can't post the picture but if folks want glamorized Scarlett Johansson then have glamorized Scarlett. Why slap Marilyn's name on it? Avoiding paying Scarlett royalties since we know she doesn't play thst? I mean it's like putting a poptart label on snackwells. Not that I'm saying Scarlett's less than, just poptarts are classics, snackwells are modern snacks. I'm against paying for fakes.
