I can't stand QT. I don't see the big hype with his movies. They're gratuitous for no good reason, really. Often times when movies are overly violent or whatever, there's a reason behind it. His seem to be that way just for the sake of it. He's like a kid who learns a cuss word and only knows that word for the next three months.

I've seen:

Reservoir Dogs

Pulp Fiction

Django Unchained

That's all I could stand.

The reason I dont partisapate in a lot of org threads.
The ones that ask "what your thoughts on this/that". And the OG poster never gives their thoughts or insite.

Define "acting black."

Anyway, I didn't click the link. I love Tarantino. He hasn't done a single film that I haven't enjoyed. He stands where he stands today because he's really good at what he does and the people that choose to work with him know this. That's why you get the caliber of cast that you get on his films.

I highly recommend his films, all of his films, to anyone that enjoys good films. Yes, they're almost always dialogue heavy, but it's such great dialogue. What I love the most about Tarantino is that he's so clearly inspired by other filmmakers and his inspirations are all over his art.

TrivialPursuit, your criticisms are interesting because they seem really ignorant(relax and look up the word). If there's a movie about Nazi hunters, I'm expecting violence. If there's a movie about a female assassin that get's double crossed and left for dead then seeks revenge, I'm assuming there's going to be some violence. A movie about a serial killer who kills with his car? Ummm...maybe some violence will be in it? Maybe...? If you watched Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, you now know what to expect from Quentin Tarantino. Art is subjective, so you absolutely don't have to like it. But don't say silly things like "I don't see the big hype with his movies." He made a lot of fantastic movies and now people wait to see what he'll do next. IMO, he hasn't had a misstep yet, not in almost 30 years. But, again, that is just my opinion.
