Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness This review has been copied from the Superhero thread and pasted here for those who want to discuss Dr Strange without derailing the general "superhero" theme of that thread. Dr Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness - Mini Review No Spoilers. Yet. Ok, so I'm just home now after seeing the movie on the big screen so it's still a bit too fresh in my mind to decide how it ranks amongst the rest of the MCU but I will say this; it's a really fucking good movie. I kind of half expected it to be full of cameos just for the sake of it and it's not. It's not that kind of movie at all. I will avoid including any spoilers here for those of you who want to go in with as little knowledge of the plot as possible so if, like me, you've managed to avoid any spoilers before seeing the movie, I think you'll enjoy it even more. Ok, first things first, I said it's not one of those "here's a cameo, there's a cameo" type movies and it's not. But that's not to say there aren't any cool cameos. In fact, there are quite a few. Just less than I was expecting. And if you've managed to avoid knowing who these cameos are, I strongly advise you to stay off Twitter until you see it because once the movie opens, people WILL be talking about these cameos. One in particular that I never saw coming. You've been warned! The movie itself is pretty standard MCU stuff for the most part. There's a few nice little Sam Raimi touches along the way but it's certainly not the dramatic departure that some of the trailers are suggesting. What sets it apart from the majority of the MCU is the performances. Some of the acting here is really top notch. Elizabeth Olsen is especially good. Like, Oscars-good. I doubt she'll actually be nominated but I guarantee you that her performance here is better than most, if not all, of last year's best actress nominations. Saying any more may give away some important plot details so all I'll say is her range in this movie is incredible. And I never rated her as an actress before today. Some of the CGI looked a bit weird to me though. That's my only real complaint. I wasn't wearing my glasses so I'm not sure if that had any impact on my viewing experience but sometimes it looked a bit... cheap? It also didn't help that before the movie they showed the new trailer for Avatar 2. And that looks fucking amazing, by the way. Overall, I really liked Dr Strange 2. Some of it was just crazy (in a good way) and I can't believe some of the choices Marvel made here regarding some of the things [REDACTED] does (also in a good way). It was different enough that I liked it but for those of you expecting some massive departure from the Marvel formula, you'll be disappointed

No spoliers here. If you seen the trailer you have an idea what to expect I saw it the Thursday night. About 60 people in the theater. It wasnt packed like Spiderman was. I thought the movie flowed really good. Start with action, slow down for a few, then bam! More action. The movie kind of follows that pace. I never got bored. I say that because the latest Spiderman movie it was long and boring at times ![]() I've heard Sam Raimi is know for horror movies? All I know is his evil dead movies, and I dont think they were great. Anywho the movie does have horror elements. It's dark, ominous. It might be a little scary for young children. My coworkers daughter who is 6 loves Spiderman movies. This is probably not for her. I enjoyed story. The trailer doesn't spoil that, perhaps its misleading? because it didnt really go the way I expected, and I mean that in a good way. I'm glad it didnt focus on a bunch of Multiverse characters. But they are there ![]() Omg! I loved Elizabeth Olsen. She was great. Never thought I say that  My girlfriend, sister liked it. My co workers loved it as well. It thought it was good. Definitely worth a watch if u like Marvel movies @Avatar 2: I was telling my girlfriend we better not be late for the trailers. Why? she asks. Because I want to see Avatar 😂 The CGI looks great but it didnt didnt give any insite of the story. Maybe I wasnt paying attention. I definitely got to see it in 3D ![]() I will take my place, In the great below

There will be spoilers in my post!!
Saw it yesterday and enjoyed it a lot, i think its actually more about Scarlet Wicth than Dr Strange, I felt sometimes he was more of an supporting role. Its pretty dark for a marvel, I liked that and the special effects are amazing. I lovd the world in which 2 realities clashed together. Anyway, spoilers.....
XMen! There was no reaction in the theater, thought it was pretty amazing to see Patrick Sterwart. Fantastic Four! Reed Richards is hot. The only thing is his superpower looks weird, as in all the F4 movies, maybe its just really hard to bring it to the screen.
For people who seen it, so in the beginnen when Dr Strange meets Wanda asking for help, she knew al along what was going on right? She was already Scarlet Witch there? Or did I get that wrong?

Yes. Major Comic book spoiler. Wanda is the daughter of Magneto. So is Quicksilver As I recall In the avengers movie their parents died in the war. Was that their real parents or adpoted? Maybe in this universe their parents are really dead. Scarlets Witch floating stance is dead on Magneto ![]() I will take my place, In the great below

saw it yesterday .. didn't like it .. seemed like yet another thrown together "just get the badguy" plot .. was hoping for some mindbending plot twists but the multiverse seemed more like a twist to make the trailer than to hinge a lifeless plot on .. the cameos were awful .. the last fantastic 4 movie was much better than this movie .. did move along well .. much better than the avengers where we have hours go by without a superhero costume in sight .. just another paint by numbers superhero movie from disney .. they churn this junk out and don't put a lot of effort into making it new or interesting .. and as someone who does not like harry potter movies the whole point and squint .. must squint harder to make magic work .. formula is hard to sit thru .. and i guess it bugs me when nobody does anything else .. cant even use their own hands to tie a tie .. everything has to be done magically .. ugh .. it's like when they overpowered the jedi and they wipe out a fleet of robots while yawning .. takes all the levity out of magic if absolutely nothing involves physicality .. one for the delete pile for me .. ps professor x wheel chair looked bulky and cumbersome .. does he take a crap in that thing or is his bathroom door as big as a garage door .. thought the spidey movie was a bit better .. enjoyed the first fantastic beasts but the last 2 have been trash .. in my opinion

It was ok. For me it's just closing out the round in these phases, nothing spectacular but not bad. A day nicely spent at the movies. Time keeps on slipping into the future...
