Well I certainly wouldn't have guess Joe Buck for the Ram. I know who he is, but I'm not a sports person, so I wouldn't have known his voice enough to guess.

But Eric Stonestreet was on it!

Sorta surprising about Firefly just walking off like that - although it was probably in frustration.

I think it's probably Teyana Taylor.
Here's why: She's a singer, who has worked with Tyler Perry, having a role in Madea's Big Happy Family.

She also worked with Pharrell. She was released from her Star Trak records (Pharrell's rubber stamp organization) contract in 2012, but stayed amicable and have stayed friendly. She's now on GOOD Music (Kanye's label, through Def Jam, so look out for those clues).

Robin Thicke guess Keyshia Cole, but this singer has a lower register. Those higher notes in "P.Y.T." she was bringing down to a harmony note. The song was in a lower key, too. Keyshia has a higher register.

Interesting note about the walk-off. If she was feeling frustration (my summation) at being in the bottom two... there's an interview from December 2020 where she said she was retiring from music, saying she felt "under appreciated" and "overlooked", adding "I'm retiring this chapter of my story with the comfort that I can depart with peace of mind seeing that all the hard work & passion put in was indeed loved & supported somewhere in the world!"

_______________

I'm stumped on the Cyclops. It's definitely not Rudy Guiliani. Maybe that three-headed thing is Rudy (on Team Bad). Whoever it is, I have no idea. I don't think he's a professional singer, but he just has a good voice in general.

Fire Fly sang better last week. Cyclops Chris Pratt guess was not bad. Was hoping to see new contestants though.

The Firefly looked in disbelief when her name was called. Then she walked off. Sorry to say but her choice of song this week was not very entertaining (my opinion) She was my vote off. I'm no Keisha Cole expert, but that's not her lol
Not Ishia Tyler. She is tall and thin.

Eric Stonestreet is a guess judge to help prompt his new show on Fox. Only to guess his co-star and who was voted off. I swear this show is predetermined lol eithere way it's still entertaining.

Is it just me? But do contestants with the best looking, elaborate costumes always make it to the finals. While the ones who's get voted off early have cheap or ugly costumes.

For me the thing that looks fake/forced are the reactions of the people in the audience during the reveal. Why are they all shocked with their eyes big and mouths open wide for??? OMG it's Joe Buck! We know it's going to be some celebrity. Guess they are told to do that or just trying to get on TV.

Jorge Garcia (The Masked Singer Cyclops) unmasked interview - GoldDerby

Ok Jorge Garcia was on team bad. Why????????? He was like every ones favorite character "Hurley" on Lost. Didn't guess him.

The Masked Singer: Jordan Mailata and Jorge Garcia depart during double elimination episode on Fox | Daily Mail Online

Ok I follow football but would never guess Jordan Mailata. Huge Steelers fan but I have no idea of any of their singing abilities.

So... we understand that just because someone is on Team Bad doesn't mean they're a bad person in real life or have played a bad person on TV, right? We understand the line between a game show, and the people on it, and their characters, right? It's about the juxtaposition, clearly.

Also, if that's the case, then Rudy Guiliani is probably that big pink elephant or something on Team Cuddly.

Anyhoo... Jorge Garcia was a total surprise, and certainly stumped everyone. No one was even looking his direction.

I don't know football players, so that wasn't so much a surprise as "Oh. Okay." Jordan looks like a super cool guy, though. UNNFF, that accent. Makes me randy.

I'm still sticking with Teyana Taylor for Firefly. Keyshia Cole has a lot of the same connections to Tyler, Kanye, and Pharrell, so it is sort of a toss up. But given the body type, I don't think that's Keyshia Cole. Teyana Taylor has a lower register. Keyshia Cole does not, at all.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yeah I guess it's just the costume. I miss the first impression guesses, wonder why they are not doing them this season. Well new contestants next week.

I always felt like first impression took up so much time. Not only filling it out in the beginning, but going thru them at the end, reviewing them, changing answers, etc. Waaaay to much filler.

Christie-Brinkley-Lemur.jpg?w=620

Wow this season is probably the hardest to figure out. Christy Brinkley, didn't guess that.

Masked-Singer_-Hydra.jpg&w=1280&h=720&q=90&c=cc

Hydra, love them. Hope they stick around for awhile. I think it's the 3 Amigo Short/Chase/Martin. But the big Lebowski cast guess was also a good guess. Not sure how many people are in that costume.

Masked-Singer-Ringmaster-Header.jpg

Ringmaster. Cool outfit. She's some 20 year old so I don't know who she is. Probably that Olivia girl

Masked-Singer-Miss-Teddy-Header.jpg

Miss Teddy. Older not sure who she is.

masked_singer_armadellio_ETBUG_hero.jpg

Armadilo, thought he was younger but I think he is older. For now guessing Danny Bbonaduce

big-bang-theory-cast-friends-1024x683.jpg

Seems like one of those clips is from something that already happened.

As far as tonight's show:

Lemur: Christy Brinkley - who would've ever thought that, besides Ken? The references were lost on me.

I have no real thoughts about anyone else, but the thing about Loretta Devine being Mrs. Teddy is good. Her laugh was sort of a clue there. She has that LaToya Jackson type laugh (but less-annoying).

I don't know much about Olivia Rodrigo to make a call on Ringmaster.

Hydra: the thing is, Steve Martin and Martin Short can sing. The former is in a band. So unless they're disguising their voices, I don't believe it references them with "amigos." They sound like rappers or anyone else that can't sing. There's also a Miami reference, which doesn't relate to them at all. They sound like old guys. I would bet some sports figures or something.

For a second I thought about John Cena as Armadillo.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yeah I don't know her as well. But anytime there is some young 20 year old singer she will be my guess

Penn and Teller (The Masked Singer Hydra) unmasked interview - GoldDerby

I'm so mad Hydra got voted off because I ended up recognized Penn's voice while watching the show. However I also thought there was one more person with them. I thought Triumph the insult comic dog was with them as well.

Triumph is comedian and writer Robert Smigel (but created by Conan O'Brien).

The ATM clue was such a great find on Nicole Byer's part. Very clever. I wasn't totally sure three full grown people were going to be in that costume, though. But two people were obvious.

Who they were - no idea. Their voices were so bad for singers, I was clueless on it.

Bonaduce as Armadillo isn't a bad guess. I can see that in the body language. I'll have to go back and listen again today.

Doing the research, I don't believe Devine has won a Grammy. She's never released a record album on her own. Her voice has been in musicals, which would be a Tony. So if the singer is a Grammy winner, it ain't Devine. Last night's song was odd for her. I should take another listen.

Still waiting on Giuliani to show up. And did anyone notice the box with the big ? on it?! It was in Team Bad's shot.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Yeah it would have been fun if Triumph was with Penn and Teller. Of course comedian and writer Robert Smigel would have to be off stage doing the voice while Penn or Teller would control the puppet in the middle head of Hydra. I think Penn is like 6 foot 7 so no room for 3 people in that outfit. Yeah the ATM clue was great. When they bust out the deck of cards was what did it for me. Yeah I think Danny Bonaduce is a good guess. Height wise. age wise I'm getting some one late 50's early 60's who is in pretty good shape. Also the voice sounds raspy like Danny Bonaduce

I did think of William H. Macy as Jenny did (who was in Wild Hogs). Gary Busey guess isn't terrible either. Gary could be that agile, but Macy probably isn't.

But, let's also remember that last week he said, "scrapping and singing is all I know." Scrapping is a wrestling term, and he's been involved in wrestling (and boxing) for years and years.

I also believe the hot dogs ont he grill were actually hot links. He was in a movie, H.O.T.S.
