Who has seen "Halloween Kills"?

If so what did you think of it?
Please NO SPOILERS!
I am avoiding it until my friend gets out of the hospital
I always watch all the halloween films with him so I must wait to see it.

ummmmmm well i don't think it's as bad as critics are saying (on rotten tomatoes, they have it 42% as of right now)

i'm fresh from seeing it, i'd say it's more of a 6.5-7/10 ish

if you're a fan of the franchise, i'd say you'd be pleased... it'll feel like they're mainly setting up for Halloween Ends (which is suppose to be the end of this trilogy which comes out next year)

if you love gore, you're gonna love this movie. it's like Michael Myers dialed up to 11. like, he's pissed off and ruthless and as brutal as he's never quite been before. (if you recall the 2018 movie where he curb stomps that doctor.... think of that but like the whole movie)

and i'm not into gore-y stuff... i mainly became a fan of Halloween movies because they were suspenseful.... so i had to try to put my hand in the way because i don't like that stuff because then i start thinking "this shit could happen to a living being, someone i love, in real life..." but i admire the makeup and effects that went into all of that.

and the opening scene.... very cool. you'll love it

i liked the 2018 movie better tho overall. I hope Halloween Ends is terrific to make up for this just being ok for me

I enjoyed this movie more than the 2018 one. The first half in particular was really good the second half was a little messy storywise but it was still a fun watch. You can tell who I'm rooting for by my avatar and he doesn't disappoint. He is really brutal in this one.

If they can't figure it out by this movie I say it's time to call Elon, lock Michael Myers in a Dragon, aim it at the Sun and fire. I think he's caused enough havoc for the expense.

Its better than Halloween (2018) but its still a failed movie to me. Too long, too depressing (the hospital mob stuff), too few likeble characters, too much cringey dialogue, and Myers is not the efficient creepy killer he was in 1978 and 1981.

I'm a fan of the franchise and I say it's trash. The biggest collection of idiotic characters with idiotic decisions ever put on film.

And the original Halloween, still the best of them all by several miles, is not about gore at all. It's about a silent killer, watching, stalking, taking his time to act. None of that is in these new movies. Just a bunch of stuff that, if you really think about it, don't make too much sense. I guess this is a movie for brain dead people. And ones who don't know too much about Halloween.

As Halloween 2018 already was a huge disappointment, I didn't have high hopes. So, I kinda got what I expected. The current writers of Halloween are talentless hacks.

I don't think anything can be worse than the Zombie films, especially 2 ... Kills is still better than that.

Halloween 5 has camp value at least, it kinda knows its a nonsense slasher movie. Kills wants oh-so desperately to be taken as a serious film which sucks all the camp fun out of it. It has better production values than 5 ... its a tough call ... neither film is decent.

The original is still the best and the only one worthwhile. That movie was all about atmosphere and suspense, NOT about gore. The way they would show Michael in the background...one minute he's there then next he's gone...so effective in building tension. The scene right after Laurie discovers her friends dead and Michael slowly becoming visible in the closet behind was absolutley brilliant. Then of course there is the music.

Part 2 (81 version) is ok but not near as good as the original.

Part 3...funny story my buddies and I were probably around 13/14 when it came out. We all waited outside the theater and were asking people if they would get our tickets. A couple guys finally did...we were so pumped. All that...and the movie SUCKED. The audience was laughing when the kids head turned to bugs. We were so disappointed. But it was the first time I got drunk as the guys who bought the tickets for us gave us beer they sneaked in. lol

The others after that were a complete waste of time.

The only other one I thought was sorta decent was H20...but really that was sorta like Scream does Halloween. But since it had LL Cool J, I give it a pass.

I saw the one a few years ago with JLC and I guess it was ok (she's always awesome), but really what's the point? I have no desire to see the new one.

From what I read the Halloween series was meant to be an entirely different story for each instalment, so Part 3 was closer to what was originally intended. After the first one was a monster hit they insisted on a standard follow-up with more Myers action. Got a soft spot for it purely because Tom Atkins is the man, can watch him in anything. Not sure it would be anywhere near as fun without him in it though.

Part 3 is a amazing horror film for its time.Especially if you don't even acknowledge it as a halloween film
If it was just called "Season of the witch" it probably would've been successful even though I don't think there is a witch in that film 🤔
Tom Atkins was great,so was the main villian Mr Conal Cochran
Also, halloween 3 did leave us a great song.

It was okay. I have put more energy into killing a fly in my house than they did trying to kill Michael in this movie.
