Colts All-Pro G Quenton Nelson to undergo foot surgery, out 5-12 weeks

Colts look bang up. Titans could take the the AFC South....and I said "could", though I personally like the Colts better.

Panthers waive safety J.T. Ibe after 'unacceptable' practice hit on WR Keith Kirkwood

After a frightening moment in the Carolina Panthers' practice Tuesday when wide receiver Keith Kirkwood took a helmet-to-helmet hit from safety J.T. Ibe, coach Matt Rhule described Ibe's blow as "unacceptable."

So unacceptable, in fact, that Ibe, an undrafted rookie free agent who played collegiately at South Carolina, was waived after practice.

Kirkwood was attempting to catch a high pass, leaping just before Ibe knocked him to the ground. The good news: Kirkwood was moving his arms and legs as he was taken off the field in a cart and loaded into an ambulance.

Philip Rivers on NFL comeback: 'I have not completely ruled that out'

Roughly seven months after announcing his retirement following 17 pro seasons, Rivers told the Los Angeles Times' Sam Farmer that he hasn't closed the door on a comeback late in the 2021 season.

"I'm just going to stay ready," Rivers, 39, told Farmer on Tuesday. "I want to make sure I'm very clear: I'm not predicting I will play in December or January, for that matter. One, you've got to have somebody who wants you, and two, it's got to be right.

the AFC North should be a highly competitive division this year - even Cincinnati should be a better team, provided their 2nd-year QB stays healthy..

.

my team plays on the other side of Pennsylvania

so many young (& potentially great) players

along with a QB1 would could be very good

playing with the possibility of Deshaun Watson hovering over his head..

if our best players stay healthy we ought to win at least 8 games this season

minimally - we need to beat Dallas

I am excited & thankful that this season

I will be in the ATL for the Birds' 1st game

& I will be in Arlington for their week 3 Monday night game against the cowboys..

.

at 1st I was really annoyed to hear about that 17th regular season game - that really broke up the "symmetry" of the 16-game season > 4 4-game "quarters" of the regular season

the blatant & excessive GREED of this league..

rather than put all of its players at risk with a 17th game

they should have simply eliminated 1 of those preseason games

but those owners were not going to do that

obviously..

I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

i'm still baffled by this 17 game season.

Just for the money???

Reading about it's impact on various media outlets says there really aren't any pros for anyone except the controlling parties.

"Welcome 2 America" indeed.

The "outside" games will continue and expand...

...from ESPN:

"One of the topics in Tuesday's owners discussion was the future of international games, with Canada, Germany, Mexico, Brazil and the United Kingdom all discussed as potential sites. Beginning in 2022, all 32 teams will play internationally at least once every eight years."

.

I'd LOVE a game in Germany biggrin

Good move. Robert Spillane has no business starting in the NFL.
He has been getting beat terribly on the edge in preseason and by guys
who are backups. mad
I would only want to see him on special teams and 3rd down and forever
against the opposition.

Cam's going to have to settle with being a backup if he still wants to play.

Yup. He's probably the best back up QB out there.
