i just saw the first GOTG for the first time since it was released.

Pratt was fantastic it that.

This, not so much.

His best was in 'Passengers'.

This movie is a streaming movie.

I saw this and scored it around here someplace. The best thing about it is as far as I can see there were no plot holes, a lot of convenient circumstances still everything was reasonably explained.

I kinda liked it.

There were some great scenes, but alot of it was very formulaic & predictable.

And I am unimpressed at the fact that the ending of the movie should have been the beginning. MAJOR plot hole.

You think so? I must have missed it. I had zero questions by the end.

Deadly alien species? How boring. Deadly climate change would be more exciting. And then the folks living today would say: so 30 years later, you're still there? No problem then.
If you take any of this seriously, you're a bigger fool than I am.

I just think this movie is an exaggeration of a thought that came up for scientists a few years ago. And with what's happened these past years I believe it is seriously on some minds. It's just easier coming face to face with a vicious aliens that doesn't belong here. They were relentless and showed no mercy like some germs except they are highly visible.

Think about it.
The solution at the end, should have been the initial solution.
The future corps should've gone down there and taken care of business. Saved countless thousands upon thousands of lives.
Instead that rag-tag team of misfits had to save the world.

But it was only the rag tag team who had access to just the right people (way too coincidental) to be able to put all the clues together to guess where to go. And they couldn't even get the information to the higher-ups hence the whole, it's hinges all on them, trope.
