Yes I'm still watching lol, I only saw the first episode of the last Fear the Walking Dead season

And I went ahead and bought the dvd for TWD World Beyond, because it was cheap... focusing on kids, just doesn't seem to work. In this way, but there are some interesting things there

Khary Payton thought he was getting axed from "The Walking Dead" last year when he received a phone call from showrunner Angela Kang and "TWD" universe chief content officer Scott Gimple.

"I remember I was getting a call from both Angela Kang and Scott Gimple, and half the time when you're getting a phone call from just one of your two showrunners, it's about the demise of your character in some shape or form," Payton told Insider via phone in August.

"To know that both of them needed to be on the phone to talk to me about something... I was sure that there was a demise of some kind coming," Payton continued. "I just didn't realize that it would be of the show itself, which was shocking."

Last September, after production on the series was delayed due to the pandemic, AMC surprisingly announced season 11 would...how's last. The final season, which debuts later this month, will consist of an extended 24 episodes instead of the show's usual 16-episode count.

Payton has played Ezekiel, a former zookeeper, on AMC's zombie drama since season seven.

Heading into season 11, Ezekiel is fighting a battle with cancer as he and his friends (Eugene, Princess, and Yumiko) are prisoners of a group of mysterious soldiers of a new community, the Commonwealth.

They lost me last season. Not really anyone's fault. The later scenes were just really slow due to the fact they were filmed during the pandemic. I may pick it back up for the final season. Ditto with Fear the Walking Dead. I just recently stumbled across a Zombie series on Netflix called "Black Summer". Talk about intense! On the edge of my seat almost every episode! That made up for my lack of zombie fix on the Walking Dead series'.

the thrill is gone, BUT last season I binged on Netflix and it's actually pretty good.

I haven't even went further with the World Beyond yet lol

I miss the pre-Negan crew

What i wrote before was mainly about FTWD.

Such a waste of opportunity.

The main show, however, i'll HAVE TO watch.

Too much time invested, like SoulAlive!

i just don't understand why they won't do a cross-episode where "these meet those".

THAT would bring ALL the fans back...

I stopped watching it several years ago. Got tired of Negan. At this point the show is just repeating itself, just one crazy over the top group of humans they need to fight. Is Rosita still alive??? That's another thing I don't like about the show, you get invested in the characters and they get killed off. Also some of the episodes were hard to watch such as when Negan killed Abraham and Glenn. Also that episode "The Grove" where Carol kills Lizzie after learning Lizzie killed her sister.

Exactly I think a better idea would be: convince Rick to come back….add him and Maggie to this “spin-off” and put them in a new location.

Announcing the Daryl and Carol spin-off before TWD finished was the dumbest thing they could have done.

Right after the announcement they did an episode where it looked like Carol might kill / sacrifice herself, but there was zero tension in the moment because we now knew she's getting her own show.

And don't get me started on the final season moving to Disney Plus only. After years of following the shows, they're now sticking the finale behind a paywall? I'll be pirating the hell out of the last season for sure.

As much as I've loved the show I'm glad its winding up now ... the growing mishandling of the franchise is starting to grate.

It almost never fails when you have a core group and then change it, things begin falling apart

Right into Alexandria it was good. When they killed off Glenn and Abraham, then Carl and Sasha, it was blowing in the wind. There were other cool characters, but that core group synergy was gone

How Does Rick Grimes Relate To The Walking Dead: World Beyond And The Larger TWD Universe

THE CRM

We know at least two of those civilizations. One of the three -- the one with the helicopters -- is known as the CRM. These letters, were first seen written on documents carried by Isabelle on Fear the Walking Dead and confirmed later by Gimple. We don't know a ton about them yet but they are a large and formidable force (led on The Walking Dead: World Beyond by Elizabeth (Julia Ormond)) with technology and geographic reach -- from Texas to Virginia to Nebraska -- far beyond anything else seen in the TWD Universe.

Are they good guys? Well Anne thought they would save Rick's life, which is a start, but CRM pilot Isabelle says, "We are a force who are not living for ourselves or for now," which sounds rather ominous. The characters of The Walking Dead: World Beyond feel a bit more biased against the CRM, as one of the young survivors at the center of the story, Hope, says "They are bad people."

The other known part of the three civilizations as represented by the three things is the Campus Colony of Omaha, where the rest of the cast of The Walking Dead: World Beyond makes their home. The community symbolized by the third ring is yet unknown.

WHERE DID RICK GO

In Rick's final episode of The Walking Dead, he makes a desperate attempt to save a bridge that linked the communities, by leading away a walker herd that would've toppled the structure. During the mission, he was badly wounded and unable to lead the herd away. With the mass of walkers still oncoming and putting a camp full of survivors and Rick's life work of protecting his friends in danger, he engages in one last heroic act. With Michonne and his friends watching, he blows up the bridge with dynamite intending to sacrifice himself, and appearing to do so to all those watching.

But Rick is actually blown clear into the river and washes up on a distant bank. Desperately wounded, he's found by Anne who, as we know, has a business relationship of sorts with the CRM. She calls the CRM over a walkie-talkie and says "I have a B. Not an A. I never had an A. He's hurt but he's strong. Can you help him?" The answering representative of the CRM on the walkie warns Anne "there'd be consequences if you tried something," but eventually sets down the helicopter and whisks Rick away to a CRM facility where his life can be saved.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The CRM will undoubtedly be delved into further on the The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and we're likely to learn more about their aims, goals, and how they've acquired their awesome technology (for the apocalypse). As for Rick, he's alive and well as far as we know, and in her final episode of The Walking Dead, sets off in search of him after finding his boots and a carving by Rick suggesting that he's still alive. More answers will likely have to wait until the Rick Grimes movie.

In the last episode of FTWD, there were nukes fired all over.

Hopefully, they reached everyone involved in this franchise.

'Fear The Walking Dead' showed alot of promise in the beginning.The third season was so exciting! But then,when they revamped the show and killed off Madison....that's when I lost interest.

I liked the change of pace and scenery in those first three seasons of FTWD. California and Mexico, the (at first) mysterious Victor Strand and his yacht, the sea, the mountains and especially seeing L.A during the zombie apocalypse but I at some point I lost interest. I kept watching long after Madison died and didn´t really care much for her anyway but they should´ve kept Nick and his sister.

Things got a bit boring for me after Morgan arrived but not necessarily because of him.

The whole show lost its identity and suddenly had a different feel to it.

I´ve never finished it but I´d still like to catch up on the epsodes and seasons I missed out on because I´m curious and want to know how the story ended....or whether it even had a proper ending at all.

At some point I stopped watching FTWD because it had changed too drastically compared to the first seasons, and I haven´t watched the other spin off series World Beyond yet and have no idea what to expect but I think I´ll start watching it soon just so I know how all those different shows overlap with each other, and I need to catch up on the last couple of seasons of TWD.

Thanks for mentioning Black Summer. You got me really curious now. I had never heard about it and haven´t seen a trailer but your post reads as if the zombies are reminiscent of the ones in 28 Days Later....fast, ferocious and hungry.

I also tried watching that low budget zombie show that SyFy produced but that wasn´t really my thing.

I think Negan will sacrifice himself, possibly to save Maggie somehow. Maggie will set up a new little sanctuary for herself and the other main cast members who aren't moving on from TWD, possibly on an island or up in the mountains.

This will be after a final series spent pissing about with the Commonwealth because they were in the comics so they have to feature in the show somehow. I think the Commonwealth thing will play out pretty much as it did in the comics, minus the Rick and Carl stuff obviously ... they'll get overrun by a massive herd near the end of the series (cue one final epic action packed show or two where they throw every zombie set-piece and the kitchen sink at it) but the town will bounce back and rebuild. You think Daryl and Carol have gone down in the chaos ... cue post credits scene with them riding off on his bike in to the sunset.
