I do believe that there will be a scene or two this season where Negan saves Maggies’ life….or he rescues her son from some kind of danger. He is trying to get on her good side smile he wants forgiveness.

Definitely ... given some of the weird decisions the writers have made in the last couple of seasons, I wouldn't be surprised if they even had a scene where the two of them almost hook up ...!

so,what do we think the final episode will be like? How will they conclude the Walking Dead story? “It was all a dream”? biggrin we see Rick waking up,all sweaty and looking worried. His wife Lori walks in and calmly says “honey, what’s wrong?” lol

I think Negan will sacrifice himself, possibly to save Maggie somehow. Maggie will set up a new little sanctuary for herself and the other main cast members who aren't moving on from TWD, possibly on an island or up in the mountains.

This will be after a final series spent pissing about with the Commonwealth because they were in the comics so they have to feature in the show somehow. I think the Commonwealth thing will play out pretty much as it did in the comics, minus the Rick and Carl stuff obviously ... they'll get overrun by a massive herd near the end of the series (cue one final epic action packed show or two where they throw every zombie set-piece and the kitchen sink at it) but the town will bounce back and rebuild. You think Daryl and Carol have gone down in the chaos ... cue post credits scene with them riding off on his bike in to the sunset.

Sounds about right lol

At some point I stopped watching FTWD because it had changed too drastically compared to the first seasons, and I haven´t watched the other spin off series World Beyond yet and have no idea what to expect but I think I´ll start watching it soon just so I know how all those different shows overlap with each other, and I need to catch up on the last couple of seasons of TWD.

.

Thanks for mentioning Black Summer. You got me really curious now. I had never heard about it and haven´t seen a trailer but your post reads as if the zombies are reminiscent of the ones in 28 Days Later....fast, ferocious and hungry.

I also tried watching that low budget zombie show that SyFy produced but that wasn´t really my thing.

Yes! If you enjoyed the 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later movies, you will probably dig Black Summer. Not a lot of room for character development though. Like someone else mentioned there is a lot of running and the characters tend not to last long. I hope they are able to eventually have a third season.

I've added Black Summer to my watch list, looking forward to cracking in to it this weekend biggrin

It's Too Late For The Walking Dead's Rick Grimes Movies

The Rick Grimes trilogy was announced with his departure in 2018 — after three years, it may be too late for the Walking Dead movies to succeed.

While The Walking Dead has valiant plans for its future, the franchise might have missed the opportunity for impactful Rick Grimes movies. Andrew Lincoln is set to reprise his role as Rick, but very little has been released about the films since their announcement in 2018. As a result, fan interest has started to wane through the radio silence. Now that it has been three years since Rick's exit from The Walking Dead, it may be too late for the sheriff's trilogy to succeed.

Rick Grimes was believed dead after setting off an explosion to keep a walker herd from infiltrating their communities. Without a body to confirm his death, Daryl took off into the wilderness on a quest to find proof of his best friend's fate, and Michonne was left to raise Judith and R.J, or Rick Grimes Jr., on her own. The communities were forced to reorganize without Rick at the helm. But Rick wasn't dead at all; Anne discovered him after being swept down the riverbank and sent off on one of the mysterious black helicopters to have his injuries treated. Rick's departure came after actor Andrew Lincoln announced he wanted to step back after season 9 and spend time with his family. Though Lincoln was looking to step back from the high demand of filming the series, he wanted to ensure that Rick's story saw its proper end.

I got tired of all the over the top groups of people that our heroes have faced. At this point I was expecting them to face some of the gangs from the Warriors movie.

Yeah,I never really believed that these movies are gonna happen. It's pointless. What they should do is....convince Andrew Lincoln to make a final appearance on this final season of TWD.Let the viewers see that he is alive.

Not seen them yet, but I stupdily read a couple of spoilers on the weekend. I'm not liking what they've done with Negan ... all that work trying to redeem him in the last season, and he does that? Some consistency in the writing would be nice neutral

Maggie should bash Lydia's head in right in front of Negan.

But, there is really no supporting cast to make that a nail-biting scene.

As a matter of strong opinion, there is absolutely no storyline that would redeem this dead show.

going back a bit. I believe it was Darryl who called out "Wait!! Isn't That??..." as Beta(unmasked) dies

New 'The Walking Dead' ea... (nme.com)

With the meta connections not stopping there, the version of ‘The Turtle and the Monkey’ playing in the show is actually sung by a male voice, and fans believe that it’s that of Beta, the Walking Dead character who’s a major part of The Whisperers.

Fans believe that Beta had a celebrity past before he became the masked villain, and actor Ryan Hurst recently responded to the speculation, saying: “I can’t say too much. All I can say at this point is maybe Beta was a large personality in the world before the apocalypse, and that sort of letting go of that might have been tragic to his psyche. I can’t say much more than that.”

I heard/saw these interactions but never made any connections.

Have there been any 'famous' people in the Walking Dead shows?
I always thought that would be cool to have a famous actor/actress or musician play themselves on the series

.

.

Beta may be a famous country musician in 'The Walking Dead'AMC

In The Walking Dead, most of the Whisperers have their own reasons for wanting to hide their identity under grisly skin masks. However, it seems like one of them may have more of an incentive for his identity to remain secret than the others. Beta (Ryan Hurst) had part of his mask scratched away in TWD Season 10, Episode 12 (titled "Walk With Us"), revealing that he is somewhat of a celebrity within the show universe.

In the episode, streaming now on the AMC website, Beta has a confrontation with Gamma (Thora Birch) that leads to his mask getting torn and part of his face becoming visible. One of the Whisperers recognizes him, saying, "Your voice sounded familiar, but...," only for Beta to kill him to keep his secret.

This hints that The Walking Dead character is some sort of famous figure with a recognizable voice, but in the last season of spin-off Fear the Walking Dead an Easter egg revealed exactly who Beta is.

In FTWD Season 5, Episode 14, titled "Today and Tomorrow," Grace (Karen David) and Daniel (Ruben Blades) were traveling with a batch of vinyl records, which they then had to leave behind when they were confronted by a group of Walkers. On one of these records, we saw the face of Beta actor Ryan Hurst wearing a cowboy hat, suggesting he is a famous country singer—a change from the comic books where Beta is a former basketball star.

Sunday's dream-filled episode of Fear the Walking Dead morphed into a full-blown nightmare in a shocking last-minute twist that is sure to have viewers talking.

The episode, titled "In Dreams," was a huge departure for the series — opening up with a very different color palate with super bright pink popping all over the screen to let us know that something was askew. That something was Grace transported 16 years into the future, where she met her daughter Athena and visited her own grave — learning she had died while giving birth to her child.

After meeting the future versions of her friends — including a completely grey-haired Morgan — Grace eventually realized she had been knocked unconscious by a car bomb and was, in fact, dreaming of the future. Those dreams led her to believe that while she was going to die delivering Athena, that her daughter was the key to repairing the rift between the different communities by giving them a united goal for which to fight.

Did you miss the season before? biggrin They pick her up on the road. She's one of the best adaptations of a character from the comic, she's exactly on screen as I saw her on the page. And I'm crushing so hard on the actress playing her, she's super cute smile

Finally watched the first two episodes of the last season. Might be because my expectations were low, but I loved them. The Negan / Maggie stuff was much better than I thought it was going to be, though I still think they should have had him help her up on to the train roof.

Had a really good Train to Busan / Resident Evil 3 game remake vibe, and the set pieces were excellent, first properly tense ones they've had in a while. They seem to be doing the Commonwealth story justice to. And boy did Eugene luck out with Stephanie. Couldn't help thinking she probably looked over and was like rolleyes hrmph when she saw him for the first time.
