i had to live in different cities to stay in school...

I was always marked "Courteous and cooperative". It hasn't served me well in life. Courteous and cooperative doesn't get one very far.

Cooking (at home......recognition from friends, not school or teachers)

Workshop skills

I knew how to make slingshots, bow and arrows, repair stuff

I made the best superhero costumes (seriously)

General knowledge that impressed some teachers, and angered some other teachers

I was known as an avid reader...sometimes the public library would refuse to give me certain books because they thought I was too young (mostly political books, but also psychology)

Yeah we did French too. I got an A in French but I've mostly forgotten it now. Funny how you can forget that stuff so quickly when you're not doing it everyday.

I used to be fluent in French but these days I barely understand a French movie with French subtitles.

When you say Irish, do you mean Gaelic? Are Irish and Gaelic one and the same? Sorry for asking a dumb question, I know I could google it but I think you can explain it better.

Some of my teachers used to read my stories to the class because they liked them and wanted to share them. I used to write a lot when I was younger but kind of stopped in my thirties.

Do you still write? Are you a professional writer in some capacity?

And if not, do you have any regrets?

What did you write?

I find it interesting that you were good at creative writing and science and computers at the same time. That´s usually a rare combination.

That´s true from your perspective but I like and appreciate courteous and cooperative people. I think they make the world a better place.

But yes, it´s often rude and selfish people who kind of make it in life.

When I graduated Catholic school (back then it was K-8), I was one of the top three students in the entire 8th grade class. I finished either 2nd or 3rd, don't remember which.

Aw thank you, I was not very good at computers, but music & computers, where we could specialize in guitar or keyboard, while using a midi system for recording tracks. I wrote a lot of songs that time and performed one at a holiday assembly, wanted to be a singer that time lol I got into social work as a career but yes I do still write. I’m involved with several poetry communities in North America and have had some poems published this year, which in a way felt like a childhood dream come true! Thanks for asking! I used to write this and that up until my late 20s, early 30s, and after that I occasionally wrote stuff for friends, for example short biographies for their album releases etc. but I stopped pursuing a proper career in literature because I felt like I had nothing to tell, or rather, I don´t really have an audience, and I lost a bit of my vanity, drive and ambition and started questioning my motivation.

I did publish a short story , which was published in a short story collection in book form and was read on the radio, and I had dreams of writing screenplays but these days I´m barely able to fulfill my duties at my job, so there´s that.

Maybe I should start writing again.....it can be therapeutic.
