Flaming... well we are all capable of losing our temper sometimes. Things are said in the heat of an argument, and we usually look back on it days later and cringe. Most people who say stuff like that usually have the courtesy to apologise and then all is forgotten.
However, there are some (very few, I'm glad to say) people that intentionally and deliberately go out of their way to break the site rules, to harrass individuals and bully them... this takes time, and effort to accomplish. I can only label it as "premeditated being-a-fucking-idiot". Not quite sure what "point" such people are trying to make. It takes me about 100 milliseconds to remove a thread. It takes me about 2 seconds to ban an account. Their "defiant stand" is quickly extinguished, and it is as if it never happened at all. Ultimately I think it usually boils down to - attention seeking. | |
