The next and final trailer for the Snyder cut JL movie will have a surprise moment. My guess it will be Michael Keaton as Batman.

[Edited 1/3/21 19:41pm]

If there's any "surprise" moment in the next trailer my guess is that it will be Jared Leto's Joker. Interestingly enough, both Jared Leto and Michael Keaton are in the upcoming Morbius movie. Leto is playing Morbius and Keaton is reprising his role from Spider-Man Homecoming. Tom Hardy is also appearing as Venom and JK Simmons is back as Jameson from the Spider-Man movies. I guess it's their way of tying the Sony movies in to the MCU. I also think it's strange that 2 years ago they announced that Maharshala Ali was going to be playing Blade and there's been nothing since. Giving him a cameo in Morbius would make sense, given that it's about a vampire. Plus it would be a good way of introducing the character to the wider MCU.

The joker is in the nightmare scene and wouldn't be a big surprise as Michael Keaton as Batman would. They are going to set up the multiverse in the JL movie (although, briefly) with flash.

Would be cool if true.

Teh surprise moment will probably be Martian Manhunter or Green Lantern or something like that.

The Martian was in the original JL in human form and they showed a green lantern in the first JL.

Keaton is in the JL snyder cut as Batman and informs the viewers through Flash the beginnings of a multiverse.

Ah ok, I thought he was only planned for The Flash movie. I forgot about that brief flash of The Green Lantern, But I blocked alot in my head regarding Whedon's Justice League lol

"WHAT IF...?" the Hulk killed Wolverine was my favorite.

So far, the only Marvel project that interests me is Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I was a big fan of Master of Kung-Fu comics back in the 70s.

Shang Chi is the one I'm most looking forward to too. I've never heard of the character but Tony Leung is in it and that's enough for me.

In the original 1973 comic, he was the son of Fu-Manchu, who eventually turns against his evil father and vows to end his schemes. I have no idea what his back story will be in the film.

I'd guess it will be something similar only with Tony Leung's Mandarin taking the place of Fu Manchu given Marvel don't have the movie rights to that character. Speaking of which, it will be nice to finally see the real Mandarin in the MCU. So far he's only been mentioned once in one of the Marvel One Shot short films. I can't remember what it was called but it's the one that shows Ben Kingsley's character in prison and someone says that the real Mandarin didn't like his impersonation or words to that effect. I can't remember the exact details but it was something like that.

ST:D... don't get me started. S3 was the worst yet, which surprised me, should have been the best 1000 years in the future where they can't mess with continuity.

That said, I'll probably rewatch it before I'll rewatch this. I liked Inhumans better than WandaVision if that tells you anything.

Interesting. I really enjoyed both episodes so far. It's almost like a David Lynch show or something. Taken at face value, it's just a witty play on old American sitcoms but there's SO much more going on. Loads of hidden little Easter eggs that hint at the wider story being told. Pretty much every scene is packed with dialogue with double (or triple) meanings. This whole suburban sitcom life seems to be created by Wanda herself to either protect herself from the outside world following Vision's death in Infinity War or it's to protect them both after she somehow brought him back to life.

I suppose we'll find out which as the series goes on. But another mystery is if even Wanda is aware that this whole thing is a creation of her own making. Sometimes she seems oblivious and yet other times she seems to know and stops herself from snapping out of the fantasy she's created like when she rewinds time to stop Vision investigating the beekeeper guy with the S.W.O.R.D symbol on his back. Like she doesn't want him to know what's really going on, whatever that may be.
We don't even know yet if this whole fantasy is Wanda's idea. The voice in the radio was asking "who's doing this to you", hinting at the possibility that this whole fantasy life is being forced on her in some way. I think the voice on the radio was the Asian guy from Any Man. That actor who was in Veep, I can't remember his name. But I know he's supposed to be reprising his role in this show so it will be interesting to see where he fits in.

All in all, a very intriguing beginning to Phase 4 of the MCU.

If you're going to do an homage to classic sitcoms, at least be funny. This wasn't, it was silly. There is a difference.

In my not-even-a-little-bit humble opinion, of course. wink

I thought Picard was better (even though it was all set up until the last 2 episodes).

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I'm not sure if it's even trying to be all that funny. A lot of those old American sitcoms weren't funny to be honest. This is a reality created by Wanda, who would have grown up in Sokovia watching shitty old American TV and these shows were her idea of what a normal, happy life would look like. There's a lot more going on than what we're seeing here.

I think they were just fun to watch (and yeah there were some funny moments). Shows like Taxi, Cheers and Soap were definitely funny. I still laugh at Lucy.

I do like Taxi and Cheers, I have to say. But I was referring more to the shows being parodied in Wandavision. The likes of Bewitched and other shows of that era. It could be a generational thing but those older shows just don't do it for me. Though I've never actually seen "I Love Lucy", in fairness. Later American sitcoms from the 80s and 90s are more my thing. Taxi, Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show and Married With Children. Those are like the elite level of sitcoms. Then you have others that are enjoyable but not quite at that standard. The likes of King of Queens, Moesha, Everybody Loves Raymond etc.

Well for me most of those shows were on the air before I was born, bewitched, I dream of Jeannie, Gilligans Island, but yeah they were "fun" to watch.

Funny thing about Bewitched was as a kid I never knew that was Elizabeth Montgomery playing Serena as well

Channing Thomson on Twitter: "Elizabeth Montgomery, Bewitched, 1960s.… "
