Today was my husband's first father's day as an actual father. Well, biologically speaking. My daughter refers to him as "dad" and he refers to her as his daughter but they're not biologically related. She was 4 years old before I met him. But our son, who was born in December, is his "actual son". So like I said, this was his first father's day. Anyway. Now that that needlessly long explanation is out of the way, I'll get to the point. Lockdown restrictions are mostly lifted here but even so, I'm naturally cautious about these things so we didn't go out anywhere like we would normally do. Instead, we stayed in, got some food delivered (3 huge pizzas because I'm a pig) and watched a DVD. His choice because it's his day. And after 2 hours of him not being able to decide what to watch, my daughter made the decision for him so we ended up watching the absolute classic, Problem Child. Which is strangely perfect for Father's Day. I must have fallen asleep because I don't remember the end of it. Last thing I remember was Michael Richards kidnapping the kid and then I woke up in bed. I assume my husband carried me here because if he didn't, I'm really confused as to how I got here. And father's day or not, I'll murder him tomorrow morning if he didn't save me any pizza.

That is great that it's your husband's first Fathers Day! Your daughter was still a baby when she met him so she will always think of him as her biological dad(because he is raising her with you).

Aw thatβs a really sweet story, hope you get some pizza!
My dad is not present in my life and made that choice so I didnβt wish him, cause he doesnβt even call on our birthdays [Edited 6/21/20 20:18pm]

I was able to spend some time with my dad yesterday. He is 88 and battling bladder cancer. I know I'm so fortunate to still have my dad here with me. It was great to have another Father's Day with him.
