Russell Brand appreciation thread

I think he’s so underrated and is a good comedian, and has survived a lot of hardships and does some good work now around educating others

I listen to his podcast. Heard some really interesting things. He's a talker that's for sure. I'd imagine he'd annoy a lot of people especially diehard atheists because he goes pretty hard sometimes .

great talent...but he's been blackballed for his outspoken and intellectual views which are often anti-establishment and anti-Hollywood...i miss the guy... "Get Him To The Greek" is one of my alltime favorite comedy flicks

Love this guy but I think he's reached a place that people find hard to relate to.

Coming from a good place and wanting the best for his fellow man seem to be themes that keep me interested in what he has to say.

I guess he’s not as popular as before cause he hasn’t done movies in awhile. Would be nice to see him act again for sure

Used to like him but wasn’t long before I realised that he’s just a blowhard that over estimates his own intelligence greatly. He does impressively dazzle his fans with word salad and deepitys though. He’d be a great cult leader.

Fancy tweeting a photo of your new wife who’s just woken up!

What a cunt. Good for her getting shot of the Cockwomble.
And his disrespectful prank call to Andrew Sachs was disgusting.

I don't think so, he loves to hear himself talk too much.. I can see he could be exhausting in a bery short period of time. But I still get a kick out of listening to him and he has some reslly interesting guest when they can talk.

yeahthat

He can be entertaining, but I don't buy his SJW shtick. And he's a typical neo-leftie, in that he believes the anti-Semitic twistings of the facts on Israel (dude had the nerve to imply that an unreported Israeli bombing of Gaza was what actually inspired Hamas to launch rockets at civilians in 2014).

Interesting discussions with Jordan Peterson, though. He's better when he focuses on the personal (e.g. being a recovering addict) rather than the political.
