Need a good sound bar recommendation

Hello all,
I am thinking of adding a sound
Bar to my entertainment center.I currently have a Samsung TV and am not looking for anything too fancy. My tv has great volume already but the bass is lacking.I am looking to get a sound bar with a subwoofer.
Can any of the audio experts on here recommend a good sound bar system?

I have a Samsung, which is relatively affordable and produces high quality sound.

I currently have a Samsung TV.I am happy with everything about it except it lacks bass.Does the samsung sound bar and subwoofer add bass and make a ton of difference?

Same as ... Samsung 4k 55" here. The thing with nearly all TVs is the speakers are usually rubbish. I've had mine hooked to a Samsung soundbar and woofer combo for the last couple of years, and its been excellent! Definitely recommend getting one.

I see some samsung sound bars that are cheaper than others. Some have 150w and 200w.So I guess the higher the watts, the better it will sound? Or is that just a gimmick?

Not necessarily ... depends on your cicumstances. 200w would be more powerful but not necessarily "better". If you're in a small house or apartment you don't really wanna be cheesing off your neighbours with 200w explosions if you're rocking Die Hard on a Saturday night biggrin

We're in an average size house, neighbours on just one side (she's elderly and hard of hearing) and I've never had our soundbar on anything close to full volume or full bass, and I like my stuff loud ... I'm fairly sure its not 200w. I'll check tonight and report back.

The one thing I miss out of the whole set up is a headphone socket. Neither the TV nor the soundbar has one so if I want to watch a film late at night I have to use the TV in my man cave which is hooked to a PS4 ... the controller has a very handy headphone port.

Just found it online ... its the Samsung HW-H550

2 x 80w power output and 160w wireless subwoofer. Its an older one as we've had it a while (found a TrustedReviews review of it from 2014) but its still going strong.

I live in a mobile home.My roommate recently purchased a vizio soundbar without the subwoofer. We watched the new "47 meters down" the other night and I was just impressed with the sound..
I cannot find your Samsung sound bar model for sale in new condition online but I have narrowed it down to these 2
One is the old 2.1-Channel 290W model and the other is the new Samsung HWR450 2.1 model

As a townhouse dweller who suffers from misophonia (with reactions to sound that go straight to rage and panic), I thank you and applaud your courtesy. clapping

The soundbar and woofer combo help significantly, though I have an LG tv.

This sucker is a beast! Best soundbar I hsve ever owned. Subwoofer built into the soundbar so you dont need any extra components. Costco had them for $116 last week.

I don't know what happened. Mine all of a sudden stopped working. It won't connect to my television anymore. I'll be taking it back to Costco this weekend. mad

That's funny, mine wouldn't connect to my phones for a bit and I was wondering if someone else connected to my Bluetooth when I wasn't home so I turned it off and did the Bluetooth search thing again and it connected.

Let me know what happened. Did Costco take it back?
