Any advice on the best sites to "swap meet" items?

80 yea4s of living makes a big job.

mELdOURADOsELV AGEM	Yep on the fb marketplace. Don't know if Offer Up is still around but I did sell stuff through there. FB to me, is better.

My first thought was to do a yard sale or swap meet until I got very funny looks when I mentioned that, apparently that's old fashioned, dear god, so time for online prep. Not FB, not feeling like the hoops of signing up. Don't want people coming to her house, she will not deal with that well at all. But I do need to get a move on, this will be a sizable undertaking if I can't get passed the emotional impact of this.

mELdOURADOsELV AGEM	Even if u do it online, how will she or he sell it if not in person? Are they deliver it if they don't want someone going to their house? U can do ebsy, but u would have to make sure that what u sell it for includes a shipping cost (so u don't take it out of pocket), although when posting u can say, 'no shipping fee'. So u not gonna charge them extra for shipping. ???

PeggyO	There are folks who will do the selling for you, Estate sales. They will take a percentage but handle everything.

Im doing the work but say for instance a yardsale really would not work because it would have to be don3 at her house, ie strangers hanging around her house.

I've heard of free up and I understand there are others,

It's frustrating when people don't show up even if they set an appointment with to meet at a McDonald's or something. Or if they do, they look at the thing and change their mind.

Waste of gas and time.

I sold a small table just this week that I've been trying to sell and was posted on fb marketplace for a few months.

mELdOURADOsELV AGEM	There was this one time when I was supposed to meet up with someone to sell them something but messaged them and told them I couldn't make it because my tire was flat. The guy was so nice that he came all the way to meet me instead. And he even changed my tire 😊 That was awesome!
