Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer is out, tickets already on sale

http://www.msn.com/en-us/...ocid=ientp

.

It was a good Monday for Star Wars fans. Tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker went on sale just as the Monday Night Football game was getting underway, and the long-awaited trailer debuted at halftime.

.

The day of the trailer debut, Oct. 21, would've been Star Wars star Carrie Fisher's 63rd birthday. Fisher died suddenly in 2016 at age 60, but her character, Princess Leia, will appear in the movie via the use of previously unseen footage. She gets one of the most touching lines in the trailer, as she and on-screen brother Luke (Mark Hamill) tell Rey (Daisy Ridley) that the Force will be with her always.

.

"It's the end of an era, and fans cannot wait to see the epic conclusion to the Skywalker saga that began more than four decades ago," Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said in a statement. "'The Rise of Skywalker' is truly among the biggest and most anticipated films ever, and we are beyond excited to see how this momentous chapter in 'Star Wars' storytelling nears its end."

.

There were rumors last week that the trailer would debut during the Oct. 14 Monday Night Football game instead. Femi Oguns, who represents actor John Boyega, who plays Finn, posted on Instagram that the trailer was coming "Monday." He later apologized for getting it wrong.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens Dec. 20 worldwide, with previews Dec. 19.

new trailer didn't give us a lot
and that is probably a good thing...

but what shit was that with C3PO taking a last look at his friends? I understand JJ likes mixing real world with the movie itself, and after 42 years sure, it IS an emotional moment to say goodbye.... but Leia, Han or Luke are not there! Duh! C3PO never built a relationship to any of the new characters! fucking crap!

but of course he could have built this relationship... if only Rian Clusterfuck wouldn't have wasted an entire fucking movie without moving the story arch and character relations further even one single inch! unforgiveable.

This will probably go down as a nice sequel duology, and nothing will be missed if you cut out the worthless middle part

Rian, simply the biggest fuckup in movie history.

Has anyone tried unplugging the United States and plugging it back in?

I agree, just a lot of 'imagery'

JJ did that with TFA, Han Solo dying and there is not real acknowledgement of it by the people he was friends with. Yet Rey is crying like that was her father. Chewbacca had a life debt bond with Han, and he is dismissed. It made no sense for Leia and Rey(who Leia did not even know) to comfort her. It should have been Chewie and Leia.

None of those people were C-3PO's friends at all.

C3PO goes on an adventure with this group and becomes friends with them. It looks like he has to dial into another "darkside" computer in order to get the information they need. Which explains the red eye version of C3PO. (remember there is a 5year jump or more in time).

Or maybe he's looking at some past memory (banks) and saying goodbye to Luke, Leia and Han...
We'll see... When it's available as a torrent...
