There was a lot of things wrong with Suicide Squad, but, Will Smith was not one of them. That said, it's likely that Idris Elba will be even better. Either way, with James Gunn at the helm, the sequel is sure to be an improvement over the first film.

MEGA STAR Will Smith(whom was the last person to speak to Prince(r.i.p)) is right in the middle of filming the sequel to his HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL franchise, 'Bad Boys'(also starring Martin Lawrence whom I worked with) called "Bad Boys For Life". This is THE REAL REASON why he couldn't commit to Suicide Squad 2. Although he has SEVERAL other projects on the table(including a starring role in the life story of Serena & Venus Williams father). 'Suicide Squad 2' WOULDN'T have been a priority for him anyway.

Idris Elba (whom I also worked with on Will's beautiful,talented,wife Jada's self directed movie). was a good choice to get Will's(whom recommended him) leftovers.

BTW: Will would NEVER get DUMPED out of any PROJECTS with his track record of blockbusters.

He's like the black Tom Cruise.

I disagree. There is no reason for the focused hate on them. And it is usually their beliefs and lifestyle that is the reason why. There are a whole lot of shitty actors/actresses out there who don't get that stalkerish type of hatred.

Jada Pinkett after having kids has stated she didn't want to be a HUGE star. She said even Will thought that she could be bigger than him. And she IS a good actress. Her role in Set It Off(1996) Jason Lyric(1994) The Inkwell(1994) Collateral(2004) The Matrix(2003) her character was really good.

She seems to mostly choose 'supporting' roles

You must not know much of her movie roles and she's done a lot of voice for children's animated movies
