Fear the Walking Dead seaon 5

I love season 1, I love season 2 except for the part when they arrived in Mexico. The Abigail on the water scenes and the Hotel scenes. The house with the older lady and the commune where they sacrificed 1 person at a time was filler

I have not season most of season 3 but the Native American camp scenes were good and the development there. Season 4 Beginning to end is superb. Morgan brings some high quality, and all the new characters I'm invested in.

I´m up to date on this show but have some catching up to do for TWD, still have four or fives episodes to watch.

I actually like all seasons of FTWD but I miss the concept and story of the first seasons. This show originally wanted to focus on the early months of the epidemic and at first it did but the timejumps and the killing off of characters that I had grown accustomed to were a bit of a letdown.

The change of scenery compared to TWD and the interesting new landscapes such as Mexico, San Diego, the ocean etc. are also missing in the newer seasons and the whole look and feel of the show is is getting a bit too similar to the original show TWD, for example green bushes, trees, swamps and rivers and so on.

I still like it a lot though.

But the first four seasons, especially the first three, were a bit more interesting, in my opinion.

I love where they are right now, because the characters I really like characters

I didn't like 1/2 of the previous group.

I agree, I liked the concept and story of the first season. I really like that season.

I was excitted to see more of the earlier stages while in the Urban area of California and some scenes at the Carnival would have been eerily perfect. Also life on Abigail I was enjoying, stopping along the way. I didn't really enjoy most of the Mexico episodes.

FOTW Season 4 is epic and fascinating, a complete rewrite in a way. I was not aware of any of the plot changes prior to a mini-marathon and I was captivated. Its fun seeing Dharma get dirty, the John Dorie guy definitely has some secrets too. Morgan is a welcome addition, it was sad seeing most of Madison and her camp end many of their stories.

.

I've heard that Ruben Blades will be back (Finally) for season 5, should be cuckoo crazy. One of Negan's cronies is apparently joining FOTW cast as well which should be interesting.

.

Also I've read that a THIRD Walking Dead series is pending!

They still haven't actually concluded that the mother is dead.

The son I enjoyed, but he said he was done and wanted to go back home.

Ok what does this mean?

Late last year, AMC also announced a series of films that will star Andrew Lincoln, who left the flagship show in November.

It´s interesting to see that some people actually like the rewrite. (You and OF4S).

I don´t really dislike it but I think it is a bit too drastic, too much compared to the original concept and characters. I like that shooter/cowboy guy and Morgan but the whole storyline about a disfunctional family from L.A. trying to survive during a zombie apocalypse seems to be over now, which is a bit sad. Madison was a bit boring but they could´ve kept the rest instead of morphing it into a slightly different TWD.

Still like it and watch it though.

I'd love to see a non-American take on TWD, maybe England, deeper into Latin America, or Middle East.

It means the franchise is profitable so they wanna milk that cash cow lol

I'm a season behind on TWD, personally. I thought the film angle was meant to show what happens when Rick vanishes at some point, ironically similar to Madison. Maybe they're chillin together.

I tried to give this show a chance.I enjoyed season 3 when it looked like the show had finally found it's groove. However,it's been downhill ever since confused the show killed off it's main character (Madison) and became an entirely different show.I'm done with it.

on a related note....’The Walking Dead’ is better than ever these days! This past season has been fantastic.Strong writing, intriguing storylines and some very interesting developments. When Rick and Maggie left,I assumed that the show would suffer but it’s actually really good now.I’m very impressed.

It really is. I´m very impressed, but then again I never really thought that TWD had lost its appeal.

I think it´s a good idea that they didn´t kill off Rick and Maggie for good, although Maggie´s disappearance is a bit odd. I still haven´t really figured out how they communicate with her, which they obviously still seem to do.

It would be nice if Michonne and Judith could at least find out that he´s still alive. I don´t think Michonne is going to stay a single "widow" for a couple more years. Maybe she ends up with Negan? wink

I´d like the writers to show where Rick is , what he is doing, why he was rescued and by whom.

It´s understandable that Andrew Lincoln can´t be on the show every single episode and maybe he has other career plans (except for a few spin-off TWD movies) but I think he should be shown every now and then. Maybe once or twice per season.

They can´t just let him disappear and continue with the storyline like that. How many years have passed now? Five? That´s ridiculous.

It´s too similar to TWD now. And I guess that´s part of the plan...to change the original idea so much and let it blend into TWD.

But I miss the original characters, and the locations.

That monochrome look is getting on my nerves, too.

But I still watch and really like FTWD....but not as much as I used to. The "reboot" was totally unnecessary.

As you may have heard,Michonne is leaving the show next season. She will only appear in three episodes. My guess is that she will discover that Rick is still alive and goes to search for him.

No, hadn´t heard or read it before. That´s shocking. I really like her and she is one of those very "special" characters. I hope they don´t kill her off and leave a loophole for her to return with Rick one day. Michonne and Daryl have special weapons, an interesting backstory and are too charismatic to get rid off. They are, at least to me, two of the most important characters on TWD, especially Daryl since he is not even in the original graphic novels, which gives him a certain freedom.

And I like the fact that they both use very unique and special weapons. That adds a lot to both characters.

The rest of the bunch is more or less interchangeable now but those two really stand out.

She is an amazing character but I figure that,if the show can survive the loss of Rick and Maggie (two of the fan favorites),then it can survive the loss of Michonne.Looks like Daryl and Carol will now become the "main" characters and the only ones who have been with the show since the beginning. It'll be interesting to see what happens with those planned Rick Grimes movies. Will Michonne be a part of those? Also, what will happen to their two children?
