Bill Maher goes full stupid:

“I don’t think it’s a huge stretch to suggest that Donald Trump could only get elected in a country that thinks comic books are important.”

Stan Lee is the reason why Trump was elected?? nuts

Bill is talking out of his arse but he didn't say that. He didn't even say anything close to that. He's saying that American adults are stupid for treating comic books as important literature and it's that same stupidity that seen them vote for Trump. Stan Lee didn't make Americans stupid. They were just born like that LOL.

You said "Stan Lee is the reason why Trump was elected" in relation to Bill Maher's comments. You even included 2 question marks and a little emoji thing to further drive the point home that you disagree with Bill "saying" that Stan Lee got Trump elected. But Bill Maher didn't say that Stan Lee got Trump elected. He was only pointing out that only a country who views comic books as anything other than simple children's entertainment would elect a president like Trump.

"Stan Lee is the reason why Trump was elected??" was my own ridiculous connection between comic books and politics inspired by Bill's Maher's ridiculous connection between comic books and politics. I wasn't saying that he said it.

Looking at my post again, I should have made that more clear.

Cool. Sometimes it's difficult to tell what people mean when you've only got text to go on. So apologies if you feel I've spoken (written?) out of turn.

For what it's worth though, I think Bill Maher is aware of how ridiculous his connection of comics to politics is. But it reads as though his comment is more about the American public than either comics or politics and is just an opportunity for him to take another swipe at Trump. Why he would use Stan Lee's death as his soapbox is something only he would know. But I think we all have an idea as to why. (Hint: he's an arsehole).

LOL. "Dunshaughlin, Ireland". That's like saying that someone is from Stowe, America. Dunshaughlin is a really small town in Meath. There's no superheroes coming out of County Meath, I can tell you that. Although I do have one thing in common with aul Molly Fitzgerald. We're both the daughters of IRA members.

I hear that alot from people when they have a super hero from a certain town/city. Maybe that is why DC uses fake cities. I'm starting to dig Shamrock though, would like to see her pop up more.

I grew up on 70s Marvel, back when you could buy five comics for a dollar. The characters Stan Lee (and others at Marvel) created had a big impact on my childhood. It's part of the reason why I went into the commercial art field.

And when it came to diversity in comics, Marvel was ahead of its time.

RIP to The MAN
