You are right but I guess that most participants on this thread already know all this and anybody who is into Marvel Comics definitely knows Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby, and has probably heard or read about how they were treated by Stan Lee. However, Mr. Lee is dead now and I didn´t want to be disrespectful by going into the details of who created what and when. This does not mean that I or any of the others here on this thread wanted to disrespect or ignore the legacy of Mr.Ditko and Kirby. - As far as I know, Bob Kane was even worse when it comes to not giving proper credit to his colleagues. And Joe Siegel and Jerry Schuster are probably the most tragic figures in comic book history but I digress. There´s a time and place for such discussions and you are making some very valid points but in my opinion one day after Mr.Lee´s death is not exactly the best time to discuss whether he did or didn´t give credit where credit is due. When Prince passed away we did not have people here talking about him stealing Do Me Baby from Andre Cymone.....that happened much later. - But thanks a lot for mentioning those documentaries in your post. I will definitely watch them real soon. Very much appreciated ! " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Thanks ! And you´re right about the Ditko and Kirby families...must be very bitter for them. But I still appreciate Stan Lee for the good things he did. While mainstream media is known for saying "Stan Lee created..." and often leave out the co-creators, comics fans know different and movie fans should as well. Full credit is given in every comic book and at the start of every movie. Here's a few examples from some recent comic books:

I cant speak for everybody, although I’m sure I’m not alone, but in my case it wasn’t “wrong thinking”, it was convenient short-hand. Like how I don’t usually bother correcting people when they refer to “Vikings”. Just realized there was a sticky post about this.
I'm a big fan of Marvel. Spider-man really inspired me as a kid as a good superhero character should. RIP Stan Lee your work and imagination and storytelling are all much appreciated.

because an old man who spent his life shilling for corporate america in order to propogate his own brand in order to amass wealth died doesn't mean that the iconic contributions to an art form from other men should be credited to him. [Edited 11/15/18 7:36am]

Bill is just being a devils advocate here and honestly that really needed to be said. I admire Stan Lee's work but some people just go too far to idolize him to the point where it makes everyone uncomfortable. We live in a culture where educated adults argue over Marvel vs DC as if their lives depend on it....again I'm a big Marvel fan but come on.
