kpowers said: My favorite qb outside of Pittsburgh to watch play. I always said he has the best form of any qb I've seen play. Amazingly he's never been MVP of the league. Drew is the best pure passer in the league. Even better than that overhyped guy in Green Bay.
Maybe it's because they keep saying he's short. That's their go-to when looking for a fault. smh
They may never admit it but I bet the Chargers brass wish they would have kept him and Miami
wish they wouldn't have thought his knee was more of a problem than it was when they decided not to sign him in free agency. They may have dethroned New England a few times for the AFC East crown.
Not that Rivers is a bad qb but Drew has that IT factor. Don't laugh at my funk

Giants season is officially OVA.
And yes, they made a big mistake by not selecting Darnold and setting themselves at QB post-Eli. I've been screaming about this since the draft. They took the short-term route thinking they could win now. How's that working out for them?
There is SOME good news - Ereck "The Human Turnstile" Flowers will be released today.
No it isn't. Not in that division. PHI is dealing with the SB Hangover, DAL is always waiting on the next disaster, and WSH is just awful.
Ereck Flowers has taken all the incoming fire for an offensive line that really isn't that good. Now that he's gone, more people are going to catch the smoke he got.
Believe me, they're done. I see the same shit that happened under McAdoo - poor attention to detail, and shitty special teams. It doesn't matter how explosive your offense is, if you don't do the little things right, you're not winning. Odell can make all these spectacular one-handed grabs but drops the ball on a critical third down, the defense forgetting how to tackle - this shit is inexcusable. Like Parcells says, you are what your record says you are. Before the season, I predicted 7 or 8 wins - with their schedule, they might not even reach that.

Oh shit the drama hasn't left Pittsburgh yet. A lawsuit against Antonio Brown alleges he
threw objects from a 14th floor near a pool in Florida nearly injuring a man and his toddler
grandson. The article states he was yelling at security personnel. Hope this isn't true.
Antonio's behavior is a far cry from the soft spoken shy guy he was his first few seasons in
the league. What the fuck has happened? Don't laugh at my funk

I think Rivers has 'IT' - he's just as good as Ben or Eli. Dude can play for me anytime. Remember, he did lead his team to a 14-2 record. But a great QB can't overcome a poor front office. Look at Andrew Luck - he's wasting his career playing for that shitfest organization. Some of their decisions nearly got him killed on the field.
Speaking of QBs getting killed, Deshaun Watson won't have a long NFL career taking these brutal hits. Now he has a chest injury. The coaches better smarten this kid up. |

Phillip is good but he's pretty much been a stats guy. I remember the 14-2 season that was
unfortunately puntuated with a divisional loss to the Patriots when they let it slip through
their fingers. They had the offense and defense to win the Super Bowl that season. The roster
steadily declined with aging and injury prone players. In recent years the Chargers pushed for a
playoff spot only to fade when it counted during the stretch. Unless the defense improve I don't see it being any different this season. Don't laugh at my funk

If the Giants lose to Philly tonight, they're done at 1-5.
Ereck Flowers is supposed to meet with Jacksonville. Why? Doesn't matter where you play him - left side, right side, he sucks. |

Giants - OVA
The good part is they'll get a high pick in next year's draft, which should be a QB. They should have picked a QB this year (instead of Barkley), but they went for the short-term fix....hate to say I told you so....... |

Yes you did. I thought it was a mistake to pass on a QB this year, but I thought Eli could at least be decent. But he's cooked.
Instead of owning up to his mistake, Gettelman is likely to say he'd always planned to draft Saquon, then tank to get a high pick for a franchise QB in 2019.
At least you'll have wins against WSH to look forward to this fall, before drafting a QB in the spring.

Eli can be decent if he has the Cowboys o-line of a few years ago blocking for him. He has zero escapability/manuverability in the pocket right now. Brady is older than Eli, but he's able to slide and move around to avoid the rush. Eli's a tackling dummy.
Barkley was the only Giant who played with heart last night.
Wanna bet the front office has buyers remorse on OBJ? He's a pain-in-the-ass to deal with. Everything's always about him, and he thinks he's a leader. |
