You don't have to be swinging from a tree or the ceiling to suffocate. All it takes is a noose (slip knot) around your neck, and gravity. There are literally thousands of examples of this. Mostly of very unfamous people. Like children with window blinds that all have that big orange warning choking sticker.

Just weeks after designer Kate Spade died by suicide and one night before her funeral, her father, Earl F. Brosnahan Jr., passed away at the age of 89.
