I was floored when I heard this news this morning. I really love Anthony's show and he seemed like such an interesting guy. Very sad. RIP.

RIP and if anyone if feeling sadness, remember to reach out and get help. Get professional help if need and you always have friends here on the org. I call depression and sadness "feeling signatures" and they will pass and can go into another feeling signature if focus. This man to many of us had the life. Like Kate Spade it makes no sense but depression doesn't.

omg, my whole day is shot. He is one of my utter favorites. Didn't know he had Depression. He seemed to enjoy all those trips he did. Showing how similar we all are, no matter what race or culture. As a tribute watch the Iran show and the Mexico border one. Great loss. Almost as sad as Prince.

Eric Ripert found him. That must have been tough. But I guess if one of my best friends died I would want to be there to see what was left behind, if anything. This really sucks. He's my age, I worked in restaurants in NYC when I lived there. Fell in love with him from the first New Yorker article.

He had a perfect life. Shows just how awful depression is. Makes no sense. He was such a punk rocker, surprised he was that fragile.

I think of it this way. This may sound harsh but like my cousin and uncle that committed suicide, they must have wanted it that way. I think it is sadder though when people do something in the moment and the feelings can and will change. Whereas Wendy O Williams someone like that thought about it for years and decided to take life and really wanted it that way. It is easier for me to understand and it is better than going into a school and shooting up others. To a degree someone that does something so extreme, they must have wanted it that way.

Suicide rates are rising. I'm guessing that life feels more isolated in the age of the internet, text communication, social media etc. Humans are finding out the poverty of their own existence.

^^ Thank you Trivial. That is just so cool! Made me smile.

There's a good discussion on Reddit about all this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/...m-comments

“It is indeed, marvelous. An irony-free zone, where everything is beautiful and nothing hurts. Where everybody, regardless of race, creed, color, or degree of inebriation is welcomed. Its warm, yellow glow a beacon of hope and salvation, inviting the hungry, the lost, the seriously hammered, to come inside. A place of safety, and nourishment. It never closes; it is always, always faithful — always there, for you.”

RIP Tony, I hope you found your Waffle House. judgedeath2

We really don't know these people. We only know what we see on TV, in front of the camera, through music, etc. We are not friends of or related to these people. To us, it may appear that they are living perfect lives, when in reality, their lives are a living hell. Celebs are no different than us regular folk. They put on masks just like the guy who works at Walmart or the gal sitting next to you in the office does. Usually when someone decides suicde is the only way out of their pain, they have been battling depression for many years and they are just tired.

And although I'm not a fan... he was attached to Asia Argento (Dario's daughter)... who posted some photo of herself with a T Shirt a while before this alleged suicide. The shirt read "F*** EVERYONE" with a sub caption "YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE"

...maybe alcohol and a breakup? That seems like a venemous womanly thing to be done.... if someone's in an altered state they could very well do themselves out.... saying "see! I cared" in a distorted obseqious way.

I hope that's not the case...but from few facts; that seems the most probable. Intimate dispute

Venomous womanly thing? What the Fuck? Rampant gossipy speculation, there were many reasons, that's what depression is.

okay.... ****passive aggressive hateful thing to do. (By a woman)

Let's just hope it was a planned thing instead of a knee jerk reaction to a bad relationship spaz. More Robin Williams,.... less ....well... less abrupt

Money and fame won't bring happiness and is often a distraction to happiness as people believe finances create separation from happiness. If I just had this much and these things, fancy car, home, pool and a million dollars I would be happy. Anyone can work hard and make a million dollars but after that you just don't wake up happy. Simply many roads to happiness that will most likely not go down if centered on money, fame trying to chase them creates resistance.

Even if true the decision to suicide is all on him. It is what he wanted.
