Nope, don't know how I lived without a smartphone. What DID people do in those awkward moments of just standing around waiting?

All I can say is I like mine and taking it every where I go

I still use the flip phone I bought ten years ago...

2006. i resisted as long as i could since i don't really want to carry around a geolocater. but it has its advantages.

Mine got drenched wet at the Fair and stopped working, I had a decision to make I relented and bought a smartphone, they got me, then found out I didn't have enough memory to do all I wanted so had to upgrade, hook line and sinker. I don't use even half of it's features but the ones I do I wear them out. Shall I foolishly allow it to lead me to the Grand Canyon's North Rim on my own this summer???

I think I was about 21. When I finally had my own job and bills. I got my own shit. Prepaid phone with a glowing screen lol

Drugs have adled my brain, so I have no idea . Have had several, including the raggediest smartphone that I still use 2 store stuff, but I've settled on my funky Obama/Bush phone 4 the time being .

Few years ago. I always viewed cellphones and many other things as a luxury item that I would not have until I had 500k in the account!

2004, I was late getting into the "latest technology" world, LOL.

1986, but it was a "car phone". It was installed in the car.

The first portable phone I got was in 1990. It was a phone with a battery pack, but I guess that counts.

The first "cell phone" I got was probably in 1995 or so.

My dad had a car phone back in the 1970's. I remember it was a phone with, like, 10 buttons you had to push, hoping to find an outside line.

2001 and it's called a mobile phone

I opened my first and only Cell Account with Alltel back in 2001..They were bought by Verizon years ago...So I've been using the same Cell-Service and the SAME Cell number for the last 17yrs...

Bought a Nokia phone when I was 18 (2001) & snuck it in everytime I went home, my parents didn't allow them. At the time, 18 year old boys had no business using cellphones times have truly changed.

Got my first cellphone in 2004 when i was 15.It was a virgin mobile flip phone and I think I used all my text and minutes I got for it within 2 days.
