I had a dream this morning.

I was in line in some old house waiting to get my book to be signed by David Venable (from QVC). I am not sure why he was signing the book I wrote, but it’s a dream.

My name was on the front of the book, but when I opened the book to have David sign it, another person’s name was on the title page. A woman’s name was on the title page. A name I did not know. Eventually, David left this house and I got in a car and left. (He was off to do laundry.)

When I woke up I remembered the woman’s name. I happened to look up the woman’s name on Family Search. There is a woman in my lineage that has that name. She lived from 1933-2016. You have to go back a couple of hundred years to find the common relative, but we do share DNA.

How the hell did I dream of a woman’s name that I share a relative with in real life?!???!!

Are you sure you´ve never looked her name up before or maybe seen it in a family album or some kind of family owned item?

This reminds me a bit of Dorothy Parker and Prince.

So....is there a print version of your book out already?

My guess would be that it's just a coincidence. Like, I could make up a name off the top of my head and if I looked up people with that name there's a good chance that I'd have a relative somewhere with it, especially if I was to go back a couple of hundred years to find a link.

Nope. The name of the woman was totally foreign to me. I have an aunt w/ a homonym of the first name, but the last name is not something anywhere in my family. We've only been doing genealogy the past couple of months, so it's not a name I've come across.

Yes, there is, it's been out since September. I'm about to publish a book of gay erotica short stories.
