Hey Emma McG Gotham Season 4 Returns Part 3

I'm looking forward to it. I don't like this whole mid season break thing. Judging by the poster it looks like Jerome will play a bigger role.

Was that supposed to be toyman??? Toymaker??? Is Lee the next mayor?? "Sorry it took so long, I was in the john".......great line. Used a bat to serve some justice He's back

If you watched the show, we might even have a "Hey, Rodeo, Gotham Returns" thread. As for last night's episode, I haven't seen it yet because I wasn't able to go home until just now because all the roads were closed around where I was staying due to the snow. But I'm home now and will be watching Gotham tonight. [Edited 3/2/18 10:28am]

Kind of confused on why Ivy looks different. Did they just regret casting the previous actress and decided to recast mid-season or what? I was hoping Grundy wouldn't remember who he was because, as far as I was aware, Solomon Grundy is supposed to be this brain dead zombie. Doesn't it contradict the essence of the character to have him basically just be Butch with pale skin? That Siren commercial was weird. And yet, I'd definitely go there... You suggesting Alfred has a darker past than we previously thought? Hmm... I can see that... I thought that guy resembled Toyman too but I don't remember his name. Pretty sure it wasn't Krank though so maybe it's one of those things where they wanted to use the character without actually using the character. I'm hoping Harvey rejoins the GCPD at some point but I'd like him to still carry around a certain bitterness towards Jim,who should definitely have a moustache, by the way. So The Riddler is back. Hoping to see him carry that question mark shaped cane soon.

Gotham Recasts Poison Ivy: Peyton List to Replace Maggie GehaPeyton List has been cast as Ivy Pepper in Gotham, marking the second recasting of the role. For the second time in the character's life, Gotham's Poison Ivy has gotten a reboot. Peyton List, who you may recognize from Frequency, The Flash, or The Tomorrow People, has been cast as the iconic DC Comics character. She will be replacing actress Maggie Geha who had replaced actress Clare Foleyin the role. List's Ivy Pepper will be a recurring character and will first appear in early 2018. The Gotham producers were pretty darn vague in the statement released with the casting announcement, saying of the change:
No word on if Ivy's latest transformation will also be necessitated by a magical aging spell and a dip in the Gotham sewer or if it will come about in a new way. Or perhaps Gotham will go the more traditional route and not mention anything in-world and hope that the audience doesn't notice.

Honestly I think they just fired the other actress that played Ivy

I did notice that was apart of one of my favorite Prince songs

Yup I like my Grundy in Zombie mode. I'm wondering if they will do some type of Jack the ripper thing that involves Alfred. Selina looked so bored in the Siren commercial, so funny.

Schott is the last name for Toyman. Krank is the Toymaker

I'm not sure I liked the new Ivy but she might grow on me (excuse the pun). I loved Alfred in this episode who showed us his dark side but also I thought it showed his longing for a companion. I'm not sure if the ripper is a connection but its worth remembering that the ripper never got caught. I do wish Barbara would get a decent hairstyle, I find myself looking at her hair and it's distracting. All in all a great episode, I'm glad it's back.

That's a good point regarding Alfred looking for someone. He seems lost without Bruce. The movies, games, books etc have always shown Bruce to be dependant on Alfred in a way but it seems Alfred needs Bruce just as much. And yeah, Barbara's hair... She needs to start going to a different salon because they're just making a fool of her at the one she goes to.

I think one will be rescued by the other, but I've no idea how, or when, or who might rescue who. Possibly an end of season finale. I'm not into the books or games etc... So it's interesting for me when you and KP discuss the villains.

I don't like that she has the touch of death at her finger tips. I liked it when she released pheromones in the air and people would do whatever she told them to do

A Dark Knight: A Beautiful DarknessWell it sure was a poison ivy episode Good to see Jerome again Do like Bruce's vision quest about who he is to become looks like they need each other once again Does Jim have any ex's that don't want to destroy him?

I'm not really liking Poison Ivy. I'm not sure if it's the actress or the character herself. Jerome returning is a good thing but it seems like he's trying to emulate Heath Ledger more than he did before. Bruce's vision was cool but I think they missed a great opportunity to have Kevin Conroy do the Batman voice. Gordon's moustache was a nice touch. I'm torn on the Riddler/Penguin story. I think they might be pushing it a bit far. If they can avoid repeating themselves then it could be good. Jim and Barbara seem to be getting on alright considering she tried to kill him a few times in the past. I always thought she was the best, despite her dodgy wig. Overall, not a great episode. The Batman stuff was nice and it's always good to see The Penguin but I'm not a fan of Ivy at all.
