I'm actually really looking forward to this. If they keep it as a heist (train) and escape (Kessel run) and don't try to go to deep, it could be great fun.
Interesting that Han has the gold dice hanging in the Speeder when he is in the younger boy racer shot. I image that's the opening scene.
I just saw that Hasbro is showing off a huge "Jabba's Sail Barge" as seen in RotJ. But wait... the timing is odd... might the this have a part in Solo?
I don't know... obviously, Disney will make a shitload of money and at the same time, fan backlash will surely only grow. In any case, Star Wars will not be the same. Not saying that's neccessarily bad.
I read a story trying to say that maybe they did not rip them off... that such layouts can't be protected... but there is no doubt they ripped it off.. down to the worn out look...
But I doubt Disney will blin...even if they recall them.

The first thing I saw was the FUNK CD, I thought, yeah, similar, but...
Then I saw this above with all 4 side by side... yeah, it's a straight rip.
Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.
Everything looked great, but the Han solo actor seems to be subpar. Giving a lifetime movie acting quality to the project. NOT IMPRESSED.
They should have got Ansel Elgort from Baby Driver to play Han Solo.
Or better yet, get Harrison Ford and digitally de-age him like how they did to Kurt Russell in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and to Michael Douglas in Ant Man. Of course, Harrison Ford would probably have to be kidnapped and have a gun put to his family's heads in order to convince him to do it. But I'm sure Disney could organise something like that if they really wanted to.
But seriously though, even though I wasn't impressed with what I saw in the trailer, I'm willing to go in with an open mind and judge the finished product on its own merits.

Or a theater trained actor. Perhaps character actor.
When Solo was announced there were alot of fans hoping for Anthony Ingruber to play him because he already played Harisson Ford in Age of Adeline (with Harisson Ford in it) and was on youtube doing a great Harisson Ford impression.
The artwork on the SOLO looks pathetic... this guy's characterisation looked horrible in the trailer I saw with BLACK PANTHER
This looks like a nice turd. I hope it fails and the next Star Wars Fails
and it ceases to be an option. forever and ever after.
But you know, the geeks will spend their money regardless of how bad it is and see it 4 -10 times each....
I can see the headlines now:
"Han's never been SO LOW"
Instead of hoping it fails wouldn't you rather hope that it's good?
Nope... this STAR WARS thing should die already.
The Force Awakens was a POS. Last Jedi had its inconsistencies and pandering, but was overall entertaining...but still NOT STAR WARS...
I'm done with it... seeing the trailer reminds me so much of how horrified I felt watching the STAR TREK reboot...with young hipster bastards taking the reign of "Captains etc" which felt absurd.
I think they made a correct move in finding a nobody...but this looks horrendous...
BUT(!) you do have a point... what if it IS good?
I'll find out through recomendations *(qualified recomendations, not fanboy stuff)

Well, I don't know what makes A New Hope "Star Wars" and what makes The Last Jedi "not Star Wars". As far as I can see, they're the same kind of thing. Same tone, same characters, same type of jokes.
I don't know what age you are but I have a theory that a lot of people 35 or older don't like the new Star Wars movies because they've kind of grown out of that type of movie. They still have a fondness for the originals because they're the movies they grew up with but the newer movies don't have that same sense of nostalgia. For people like me, however, I don't feel that nostalgic vibe because I didn't grow up with the Star Wars movies. I just like the entertainment they provide.
After being busted for poster design theft a couple weeks ago, now Disney is removing blasters from the posters, because, guns are bad, m'kay. Even fictional laser guns are triggering for some it seems.

That's ridiculous. It seems like people will find anything to complain about these days.

Wow, now it looks like a movie about disco dancing battles.
Han Solo is ready to rip the dancefloor in that pose. But I think the movie will be alright, I trust in Ron Howard. He's more Hit then Miss right? I still hope for a full on Spielberg Star Wars movie, but that ship has sailed I think with Lucas selling it to Disney.
I also read that Disney didn;t allow any Star Wars references in his Ready Player One movie, so no Tie Fighters, X-wings or Millenium Falcon and all.

LOL, the idea of a disco dancing Han Solo is terrifying yet oddly, it's something I'd like to see.
That's a shame regarding no Star Wars stuff in Ready Player One. But at least they still have the DeLorean. [Edited 3/23/18 10:04am]
