[excerpted] After a mid-season finale that saw Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his coalition beaten pretty hard but still not broken, they’ve been driven underground by a newly emboldened Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors. The Kingdom has been abandoned, and King Ezekiel (Khary Payton) taken. Alexandria burns under Negan’s “scorched earth” retribution. The Hilltop readies itself for a final battle. With the Saviors emboldened and poised to launch a final strike, our heroes have realized that “It’s Time to Finish the Fight!”

Really looking forward to watching this but I think Carl should not have been bitten. I think this is the first sign that the show is going to wrap up real soon.

Also looking forward to watching FTWD again. That show is getting better and better.

I hope that they give both shows a good ending and don´t just end it abruptly like they often do with other shows.

They've stretched the series out. It's been going in circles for 3 years -- The Governor, Terminus, Saviors -- same scenarios, different characters. I've gotten to the point where I'll read the recaps and skip episodes.

They need to Get On With It and reach the endgame.

i meant Carl could last 7 or even 8 episodes...as some seasons have been over just a few days...so 8 eps could be a few hours...but that seems unlikely.

I agree...end it...I think breaking bad was about a season too long... (in terms of total episodes) Weeds and Dexter could have lost a season or two easy...

I say end it with the next season

Yeah, I was jumping off of what you said -- Carl's dragged out arc is symbolic of what the show's been doing for 3 years.

That's what happens when producers work their franchise series to death. In this case, literally.

The Walking Dead viewers were left reeling last year by the news that fan favourite Carl (Chandler Riggs) was to be written out of the hit US horror series.

But now it seems there may be a future for Carl, even after the revelation in December's mid-season finale that he had been bitten by a zombie.

Speaking at a panel event last week, Robert Kirkman – an executive producer on the AMC series, and co-creator of the comic books on which it is based – hinted that we haven't seen the last of Carl.

"He's not dead yet," said Kirkman. "He might not die. You never know.

***change of scenery---'Fear The Walking Dead' has never been afraid of changing the locations of the show.They started in L.A.,then ventured into Mexico and now they're gonna be in Texas.Why can't TWD do the same? a change of scenery would be nice.

***Negan killed I know that some people find him interesting,but I think it's time to move on from Negan.Get rid of him once and for all.

With contract uncertainty surrounding an unsigned Lauren Cohan for the already renewed season 9 of The Walking Dead, the actress best known for playing Maggie Greene on the AMC zombie drama has signed on for a lead role in an ABC drama pilot titled Whiskey Cavalier, EW has confirmed.

I swear,if Maggie leaves The Walking Dead,it'll be hard for me to continue watching the show.

it's already hard to watch the show for me, so many cool characters have died. i wonder what will happen with Maggie/Laura?? rumors are flying...

They're saying that she could possibly do both shows,but I want her to be 100% committed to TWD.Her character is great and there's so much more they could do with her.

She's unsigned which means either they're not paying her enough for her taste or they haven't decided what to do with her. Either way she's protecting her interests.

Gonna be watching tonight.....but this will be a tough,sad episode to get through

that was all part of Carl's fantasy vision of the future. but when I came oh I was "oh no...he's got to die."

Not to give too much away but that's kind of what happens in the comic ... mind you, Carl is still alive in the comic so ...

Killing Carl is is the biggest departure from the comic the TV show has made by some considerable distance. I think that's a good thing though as it was getting far too predictable for those that are familiar with the source material. They need to shake the TV show up and try and steer it towards an end. The comic can carry on but the TV show needs to wrap up ... and I say that as a huge fan of the TV show who will be sorry to see it finish.

I agree.I want them to kill Negan off and move on.I hate the idea of Negan and Rick being friends and working together.

I think last night's episode was very good,though.
