Analyze My Dream™ "My parents Frenched me the Day the world Ended"

I'm standing with a group of about 100 people on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. I am in the very front and as yet have not seen anyone that I'm standing with. We are listening as the leader of our group explains what we are witnessing out on the ocean. He was explaining that the world was going to end today and that there was a giant volcano under the ocean that would create the largest earthquake the earth had ever seen.

As I'm listening to this explanation I am seeing that little patches of ocean were exuding smoke from the water. The patches got bigger and bigger and started connecting until smoke was coming off the entire ocean as far as you could see. Then in similar fashion small patches of fire appeared and the patches got bigger and bigger and connected until the entire ocean was ablaze.

I was scared because it was obvious that the end of the world was here. For the entire ocean to turn to fire, you knew that cataclysm was imminent. I turned from the ocean sight and saw that my parents were in the group. I did not know they were there. I ran to them and started crying, telling them that I was not ready to die and that I was scared. My mom hugged me and then french kissed me and then my dad did the same. They told me not to be scared and that we were together and that was all that mattered. The kisses weren't sexual but rather innocent and comforting.

We all walked to a concrete building that was near the edge of the cliff. The building had only a door and 1 small window on each wall, which was located right below the ceiling. We all filed in and prepared to die.

I woke up before the world ended...

I think it means you're gay. biggrin

Actually, I don't think dreams mean anything, but that is an interesting one. Were you freaked out at all in the dream by the fact that your parents were macking on ya?

That's the interesting part. In the dream it was the most natural thing. It wasn't sexual, it wasn't gross. It was as if that was something we did all the time. It was very comforting considering the circumstance. I can guarantee you I have never and would never french kiss my parents smile

It was the wildest sight I ever saw to see the ocean turn to fire. It was one of those dreams that seem more real than real life.

Yeah, that part sounds really cool.

Maybe there are cultures where people do french their parents. Maybe you belonged to such a culture in a former life and it's coming through in your dreams. smile

Are you going through any major changes in your life right now, or are you about to? You're dealing with a psych major here, so I LOVE to analyse dreams!

I had this dream a few years ago but I remember it like I had it last night.

Okay, well what was going on in your life at the time? Those kinds of things are really important to dream interp. Sure, sometimes dreams are meaningless, but such vivid imagery is definitely indicative of a greater meaning.

Since it was a few years ago, I don't really remember to be honest. There is always something going down. A little history might be in order. My parents divorced when I was 4 and it wasn't until I was 28 that I had them both with me at the same time and they were friends again. I jump at every chance I can to be with the both of them at once. I'm very sad that my parents (mostly my father) couldn't work things out and stay together. You know I'm 32 and to this day when i think about the fact that my family was torn apart by divorce it still makes me cry sad

So the fact that I had both my parents with me during what was to be my death and that we could all go together made me able to peacefully face the fact that I was going to die.

I really wouldn't say one was better than the other. Each kiss was of equal depth, no pun intended kisses
