Actor Frank Vincent of “The Sopranos” and “Goodfellas” fame – a Nutley resident – passed away on Wednesday at the age of 78, as reported by TMZ.

What a great series that was. And Frank was equally as good in Good Fellas, one of my all time favorite movies. Think I'll watch it tonight. RIP Mr. Vincent.

Great actor..RIP...He once said in a interview that a little kid came up to him and said he wanted to be like him when he grew up. Frank Vincent asked him; "You want to be an actor?"..The kid replied; "No..a made man..a mobster just like you"...Mr. Vincent said he pulled the kid aside, sat him down and had to explain to him that what he did was all acting and fiction...he then told the kid about how bad and evil the Mafia lifestyle really is and advised him to stay in school, do well and make his parents proud.....I thought that was really cool of Mr. Vincent to do that.

Here's a pic of the real guys. Henry Hill on the left. Jimmy Burke in the middle, and Tommy DeSimone standing to the right of Jimmy. I read the real Tommy despised Henry and they only worked together.

There is a theory that Pauly was having an affair with Karen, Henry's wife. Tommy tried to make a move on Karen. When she resisted, he got physical and came close to raping her. When Karen told Pauly, he was insensed and informed John Gotti that Tommy killed Billy "Batts" Bentvena and Foxy Jerothe, who were both close friends. That lead to Tommy's murder. There's also another theory, that Tommy's girlfriend was suspected in stealing $250,000 from the Lufthansa heist. And Tommy was killed because he would have access to the stolen money and his girlfriend was also an FBI informant. Crazy stuff.

Yup, forgot he was in those films! He was in some of my all time favorites...
