Alien: Covenant... 3/5... Luckily not as horrible as that pretentious "Prometheus" fiasco, but sadly also not as amazingly great as "Alien"... Just a nice sunday afternoon popcorn flick with a cool Lovecraftian vibe... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

Shame Bold. I liked it (although parts were very hard to watch).

Last night I watched on Neflix War Machine (2017), it was an facinating story about a US/NATO operation in Afganistan. It had a excellent cast (Ben Kingsly, Tilda Swinton, Hopper Penn, Alan Ruck and Topher Grace) and it was really thought provoking and topical especially in these uncertain times. However, I found Brad Pitt's portayal of Gen. Glen McMahon to be annoying and over the top.....like a poor man's Patton meets Forest Gump (espcially the scenes where he was jogging). Anyway I give this film a 3.5 out of 5

Wonder Woman It's not technically out until tomorrow but I just seen it about half hour ago. Very impressed. Similar kind of vibe to Captain America. Gal Gadot is perfectly cast. She was good in Dawn of Justice but she excels in her own movie. My only major complaint is that some of the special effects are a step below what you'd expect from a mega budget movie and kind of take you out of the scene. But overall, I really liked it. 4/5

Mine is that it should take place during WW2

Mine is that it should take place during WW2 It's already very similar to Captain America. Setting it during WW2 might have been a bit too far.

Yeah that's what people say but I rather have it set in WW2

It does if they rewrite her origins Her Amazonian training helped to develop a wide range of extraordinary skills in strategy, hunting, and combat. She possesses an arsenal of advanced technology, including the Lasso of Truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara which serves as a projectile, and, in older stories, a range of devices based on Amazon technology. Wonder Woman was created during World War II; the character was initially depicted fighting Axis military forces as well as an assortment of colorful supervillains, Either way I know I'll like the movie

But there's always a chance that a sequel could have her in world war two. They could call the movie WW2 so that it stands for both World War 2 and Wonder Woman 2. My God, I'm a marketing genius

Yeah I think some other older DC Marvel characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Captain America were created in the 30's/40's. Because of the war they made them fight the Nazi. Don't think any super hero was created during WW1

I watched Wonder Woman (2017) last night and really I enjoyed it, and I agree with you about some of the special effects a bit too CGI....but terms of the storyline, pacing and the soundtrack it was pretty solid compared to the Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad (which I felt still needed some tweaking). Across the board the cast was excellent, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine had great chemistry. But the standout for me was Robin Wright, who was awesome as General Antiope who would have thought that the same actress who played Princess Buttercup in the classic The Princess Bride (1986) would totally kick ass as a Amazon General (plus she is still amazing as Claire Underwood in House of Cards....Season 5 currently on Nexflix which I am binge watching at the moment). I most definitely will get this on blu-ray and I give this film a 4.5 out of 5 I loved the Wonder Woman tv series starring Lynda Carter, and I think it was sweet that they thanked her in the credits's Special Thanks (because according to the articles which I have read, she endorsed Gal and helped Patty Jenkins (who directed Charlize Theron in Monster (2003) with some insight about the character and why it has endured ('Wonder Woman' director sought Lynda Carter's support http://www.bakersfield.co...3905d.html ). Here my fav pic at the Wonder Woman Premiere

Wonder Woman. And I'm giving it a 5/5. Great movie, but I absolutely love Gal. I was complaining that I didn't want a "built" lady to play Diana. I wanted her to be able to throw a tank of course but not look as though she could. I got my wish and I'm so glad. 5/5. (Pouting because I wanted a tall blonde Aquaman but got tall dark Jason instead, so that movie is a 4/5 out the gate at best.) What?

Not really, that's like saying hey instead of Coke let's drink Pepsi. Yes Nazi thing has been done before but since that is nothing new for Wonder Woman I don't mind. Hey 30 years from now some lame ass might think the same thing and have Captain American coming from the Vietnam War and not WW2.
