I don't know if I 'anger' about it, but posting more in P & R than anywhere else here - I'm annoyed by candidate nick names. I started to notice it last year - when someone dropped the 'Drumpf' or 'Shillary' - I would just skip to the next comment without finishing reading whatever the person was talking about. Maybe they had something important to say? Something tells me I'll get by without it.

Agree 1,000%. As much as I don't like Donald Trump or George W. Bush, I (almost, slipped up once) always refer to them as President Trump or President Bush.
I get annoyed at the P&R posters who refer to everyone by their first names, as if they know these people. They don't, they just look foolish.

Look foolish in what way?
I like a good insult, don't get me wrong. Casual name-calling like that? -Makes the user look like they're waiting on the 'clever' train, that left the stop a loooong time ago.

They're trying to look like their on a first-name basis with people they've never met.
I answer the phone at our company. We have lots of agents and thousands of customers. Our customers are, allegedly, in the business of selling insurance to the public. But do you know what?
NO ONE EVER SAYS WHO THEY ARE WHEN THEY CALL.
Everyone ALWAYS says, "Let me speak to so-and-so" or "Is so-and-so in"?
What the &^^T&*^&$%^$?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I'll tell you this - I never EVER put a call through to anyone without making the caller identify themself first. But seriously - what the %^$&%^ is up with that?
I'm a trained sales professional, been doing this for a long time, and have received training from the best in the business. It's simply unfathomable to me that any professional would EVER call another professional and not announce who they are.
And it pisses me off to no end.
What pisses YOU off?
Yes, that pisses me off to no end either. It is like the rules/etiquette of phone use have went out the window. One use to typically call and state, "Hello, this is so n so, can I speak to so n so please?" or something akin to that where they at least identify themselves as part of the greeting instead of just "get me so n so"
Oh like Northc who call me by my name, as though he knew me for ages, it piss me off i have told him several times, but he doesn't care.

"You can call me Pedro." Your own words.
No, because you guys are referring to each other directly. You may have never met, but you "know" each other online.
I'm talking about stuff like on the new Michael Brown thread in P&R. There's one Orger who likes to refer to Brown as "Mike", as if she knew him. She didn't. She's never met him in her life. I get that she objects to what happened to him, but she didn't know him. It just sounds so cheesy. It sounds like she's trying to make herself seem more important than she is. Lol.
She's not the only Orger that does that; it's just the most recent example of it.
