i don't think you are ever to old to get a tattoo. I will become harder for the tattoo artist, as the skin get more flexible.
i'm almost 44 (is that old?) and i'm about to rearrange my 25+ year old 4 cm prince symbol. To become a 12 cm symbol. therefore i need to do a cover up over the old one and a new one on another part of my body (other arm). the cover up is going to be a solid black batman logo....
i might be too old for that but who cares, if you want one, take one....don't let nobody else tell you if it is right or wrong. [Edited 2/23/17 22:53pm] [Edited 2/23/17 22:54pm]

You're never too old to be tacky. And actually, the older you are, the easier.

If its discreet, tasteful, and small then I'd say "never". Or unless you are a dude then disregard my detailed answer snd replace it with a simple "never". [Edited 2/23/17 23:20pm] It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN

I worked with a guy in his 70's that got a tattoo at 68. . TBH, not many people really care what you do to your own body.

Your body, your choice, but be cool and don't complain if you end up regretting it. If in doubt put it in a less visible place (so no face tattoos)

Well he made to 68, so he's more than earned his right to be cool. But when you're younger you gotta worry about having the equivalent of permanent sideburns or new wave glasses attached to your head. It's there. Things change, especially pop culture. So he has no worries about pop culture moving under his feet and having to wear a permanent fanny pack. But actually "cool" is inherent to who you are, if you can rock something, anything, no matters what it is, then you'll never have to worry about pop culture or what anyone says about anything. ....And probably wouldn't be asking people for their opinion

The choice is yours but If you're asking it sounds like you are not sure...

I'm not into tatoos but I fail to see why anyone who's into them would ever get too old. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

There is only one answer to this: It's your body, do what you want. I've yet to ever hear that there's an age limit on getting a tattoo. It's a rather bizarre notion if you think about it. Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

.
Remember what Val Kilmer said: "a tattoo is like wearing the same t-shirt every day for the rest of your life." . I'm not tempted to get one, but if I did, it would be in a private place and very small. Or on my shoulder, only visible in a cold-shoulder style. . I'm older than 66, BTW. .
