Actually I preferred McGyver A.K.A The One Man A-Team. He could've taken Mr T at a game of ping-pong anytime.

It's funny, I don't remember if there was any backlash about the rebel flag being shown on the show. I guess everybody was too busy looking at Daisy Duke. _______________________________________________________________________________________ You can hate me for who I am, cuz I won't be something that i'm not.

I'm surprised that it worked back then, because I know a lot of black people that watch and love the show. _______________________________________________________________________________________ You can hate me for who I am, cuz I won't be something that i'm not.

I've tried my best to forget about the Dukes of Hazzard. Thanks a lot for triggering unwanted memories!
Actually, I guess it was cool to watch when I was a kid. Nothing sounds quite like a Dodge Charger. Fear is the mind-killer.

Or is it just kinda stereotyped to have a racist conotaion? Yes. There is a real racist connection to the flag. They used to carry and wave the flag when they lynched black people in the South. Some people simply have the flag for Southern Heritage and pride, whatever that is. _______________________________________________________________________________________ You can hate me for who I am, cuz I won't be something that i'm not.

here is something I found:
"Confederate Navy Jack: Used as a navy jack at sea from 1863 onward. This flag has become the generally recognized symbol of the South. " "Note: It is necessary to disclaim any connection of these flags to neo-nazis, red-necks, skin-heads and the like. These groups have adopted this flag and desecrated it by their acts. They have no right to use this flag - it is a flag of honor, designed by the confederacy as a banner representing state's rights and still revered by the South. In fact, under attack, it still flies over the South Carolina capitol building. The South denies any relation to these hate groups and denies them the right to use the flags of the confederacy for any purpose. The crimes committed by these groups under the stolen banner of the conderacy only exacerbate the lies which link the seccesion to slavery interests when, from a Southerner's view, the cause was state's rights." "not a fan" yeah...ok
