Microsoft® Xbox Game Recommendations...

:
My roommate recently got the Xbox, and I'd like some recommendations for games.

Right now, all we have is Halo and Ghost Recon.

Are there any games like Half-Life for the Xbox?

I thought I remembered my friend having Half-Life for the Xbox confuse But I recommend Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance for starters.

I don't think so but that would kick ass! I don't really know too much about their online games. Hopefully Halo is online capable.

Here are the must have titles:

  • Halo
  • Splinter Cell
  • Ghost Recon
  • DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball
  • Project Gotham Racing
  • Jet Set Radio Future

These are optional extras:

  • Mechassault
  • Unreal Championship
  • Moto GP
  • Dead or Alive 3
  • Amped

If you have a PS2, get the PS2 version of MGS2 Substance because it is a lot better (shitty conversion on Xbox I'm afraid).

Anyone here on Xbox Live? My gamertag is "Kiigan" so add me as a friend if you want smile

Halo 2 does support Xbox Live.

Halo 1 actually can be played online ... if you connect your Xbox to the net via your PC (using your PC as a gateway for your broadband connection) you can get some tools to tunnel to private Halo servers and play online... it kicks ass.

Sit tight. Half Life 2 is in development. And Deus Ex 2 is going to kick ass.

Nope, you can't. But if you get the UK PAL release of the PS2 version of MGS2 Substance you get the MGS skateboarding game, and the extra DVD "the Document of MGS2" which is all nerdy "making of" stuff to appeal to Konami fanboys like me.

Actually I just picked up the Japanese MGS2 art book from eBay.. it's really great.

It's fab... now I have a virtual volleyball playing wife that I can control, I can totally ignore my real wife! Why didn't invent this game years ago!
