Stephen A Smith is gasbag, but he's right about one thing - watching the Cavs finally win a title is frustrating for us in NY. I haven't seen a Knicks championship since 1973. When will our front office get its shit together? Warriors fans waited 40 years for a title - Knicks fans are still waiting.
I died laughing at that! Here it was, 10 minutes after the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history, led by the greatest performance by a player in ALL of NBA history, and all this guy could do was cry about New York.
THAT is why Stephen A. Smith is a gasbag. There is a time and a place for whining about your hometown'w inability to win a championship but 10 minutes after a history-making performance isn't it. |

but as you said GSW was a far Superior team so that must mean that James was so good he was able to overcome that deficient.
The series was fixed boo. This outcome is far greater than Lebron. Lebron James aint worth shit. Golden State gift wrapped this championship and gave it to them.
When I said "it wasn't close" I was referring to who the best player in the series was. The best player was LeBron James - no one else was anywhere close to as good as he was.

I like this one. This is probably the funniest one I've seen next to the Draymond Green
watching game 5 meme
[Edited 6/19/16 20:49pm]
Ya killin' me with the memes. Ain't nothin like turning the ol' screw driver on the losers when they thought (Golden State) they had it in the bag! Cleveland is down 3-1 and they beat G.S. ass on their on damn court... OUCH! All these silliness that the finals were fixed? STOP IT, STOP IT, Dammit Stop it.
Kudos to Jame for finally putting on the cape and being the man instead of dressing up as the side kick Robin. I didn't know the man had it in him. You know I've been one of his toughest critics. King James, wear your crown.

Honestly, after we lost game 6, I knew the series was over. That's partially why I went on my LeBitch explicative tirade rant that I posted. Mainly angry with my team for laying down to the Cavs like they did when they had in the bag, then fucked it up. SMH. However, I will give credit where it's due, I most certainly don't have to like James (and I still don't) but he was hungry for the trophy, played hard and earned it. Kyrie Irving was an absolute beast. I have a newfound respect for him. Surprised that he didn't get the Finals MVP, but really, what does it matter at this point, Cavs got the trophy and it's done for 2016.
I still love my Warriors....but if there's any particular team member who completely choked during the Finals, it was Harrison Barnes. He's got to go.
That.is.all. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

Congrats to LeBron and the Cavs. He deserves major props for his Finals performances. Curry and co deserve credit too and at least Draymond congratulated Bron which was a nice touch. I wonder where it leaves GSW post season. Walton's coaching the Lakers and he was an integral part of their success when he took over the coaching reigns in Kerr's abscence. Klay, Steph and Dray will stay but will they move Iggy et AL?. |

Letting Iggy go to another team would be a devastating blow...but I don't even think his contract is up yet. I know Barnes is up for free agency, as is a whole slew of bench players, Barbosa, Rush and Fez Ezeli I believe. So there's a lot of discussions to be had. With the great chemistry within the current line up, it would had been great to have won last night, especially since there's a chance that the team could look very different next season...don't know for better or for worse though. Guess we'll have to see. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

Is anybody buying MissMJCarousalcap23's attempt to be funny with these memes so that s/he doesn't look like a complete fool from blasting LeBron James during the finals? This is ex- actly what you do when you are trying to remove your foot from your mouth - i.e., pander to the folks you were arguing against after you lose the argument.
MissMJCarousalcap23 is trying waaaaay too hard, but keep 'em coming - the memes are hilarious and so are your reasons for posting them!

Not necessarily true. Enter Shaun Livingston. I know everyone has forgotten so quickly, but he had an explosive performance in Game 1 and from what I remember, it wasn't all jumpshots.
I have no idea what Fez was doing last night. For the life of me, I can't figure out why Kerr never let Barbosa play more minutes. The guy has been so consistent with his performance during the Finals, yet he was on the bench most of the time. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

Sure, Curry made a lot of dumb mistakes last night. I could've smacked him myself, however, it's not always true that he crumbles when a body is on him. I've seen him plenty of times come out strong in those type of situations, however, in the Finals, it just so happens that he didn't perform up to the high standards that he has presented in the past. I think some players have given Curry a lil bit room than they should have. As gifted as Curry is, if you put a body on him and he has to run and setup a play ( as point-guard) consistently... you can throw him of a lil' bit. Playoffs are a different animal, more physical. I didn't think the playoffs would be such a nailbiter either. |

LeBron did just as much in last year's Finals, but he didn't have his main guys. Amazing.....one of the best Finals performances I've ever seen.....right up there with Magic, Jordan, Kareem, Bird & Wilt.
Jordan had to score and be the game finisher. LeBron has to so much more in order for his team to win. Michael had Scottie, Harper, Grant, Rodman, etc., to to the other stuff. It'll be interesting to see how much longer LeBron can keep this up. |

It's funny how some people think the championship was fixed for cleveland. If you're from cleveland like me you know there ain't never been a time in space or history that something was fixed for cleveland. We came back down 3-1.No bad ref calls in the world could fix a series that much that a teams does what's never been done before. The loss falls squarely on golden state's inability to finish us off and clevelands resolve to keep pushin' on.People call Lebron a cry baby?I guess nobody saw Steph's and Draymond's bratty tempers huh?Steph got exsposed and it showed what happens when you're allowed to play defense against him like you couldn't in the regular season without the refs calling ticky tack fouls for him.Don't forget they only won last season because everybody was injured on the cavs and lebron was playing injured and we still took them 6 games. Just as you find it funny when folks say that the Finals were fixed, I find it funny when folks constantly downplay GSW's 2015 championship win with the same ole' excuse...Kyrie and Love were injured. A win is a win period. GSW won last year because they wanted it badly and got it. Cleveland won last night because they wanted it badly and got it. If people were to run around and say that GSW lost this year because Iggy wasn't 100% healthy and it was suspected that Curry still is reeling from his knee injury, no one would be willing to hear that. So again, with no excuses, a win is a win, period. And the whole talk of Steph getting "exposed" is just typical hate talk. Just celebrate that your Cavs won and leave the BS talk in the trashcan where it belongs. [Edited 6/20/16 11:35am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

That's not to take away from those great players. If a vote was held today, I'd vote for Jordan as best of all time. Five years from now? It might be a different story but that's for later, not for now.
LeBron James didn't get Draymond Green thrown out of a game. Draymond Green got Draymond Green thrown out of a game. You do know why Green was suspended, right?
It was for a collection of flagrant fouls. Green is a pussy that hits or kicks dudes in the nuts. He was thrown out and suspended because he pulled his pussy move one time too many. I don't know your sex, but I'm guessing it's female. Because there is no male that has ever participated in any sport that wouldn't agree that Draymond Green is a pussy because he hits and kicks dudes in the nuts.
You would be better served asking why Green has to be a pussy than trying to blame this on James. Green hit several other dudes in the nuts, James was just the last one. Green showed in Game 7 that he has the talent to compete with the best of the best without being a pussy. The only reason he resorts to being a pussy is that he's just a bad dude. Accept it, I promise you that every man on this board knows I'm right.

The Warriors play as pure a form of basketball as I've ever seen. But they started feeling themselves a bit, and like LBJ at his worst, started frontrunning a little bit and lost their heads.
- Dray lost his cool in Game 4.
- Klay talked about Bron's "feelings being hurt" when the Warriors were up 3-1, forgetting he's not on Bron's level.
- Klay talking about how GS would have beaten the Showtime Lakers, while up 3-1.
That's the kind of stuff that gave the Cavs motivation to get physical.
But at the end of the day, this could help the Warriors on the back end. Magic had won 2 titles his first 3 years in the league, then lost back to back in '83 and '84. Humbled a bit, he led his team to 3 of the next 4.
A little humility will go a long way with Golden State. They can still be the team of the decade.

You know as well as I do that some people see a conspiracy in everything.
I crack up ove rmjscarousel's whining. Draymond Green is the diritiest player I've seen since John Stockton or Bill Lambieer. Green is a nut-punching pussy, and mjs wants to defend him? LMAO.
The funny thing is that as Green demonstrated tonight, he doesn't have to play like a pussy. He's got plenty of talent. He had one of the all-time great games tonight. It tells you a lot about a man's character when that man has enough natural talent to win, but still resorts to cheating and dirty shots.
Nobody is saying that they are perfect players but yall make it seem like Lebron doesn't foul or play dirty either.
Yall make it seem like Lebron walks on water, its actually quite creepy. That foul he did to Draymond was childish and dirty.
Can't have it both ways. You can't say that GS was the clearly superior team and then claim the league was fixed. By that logic, the refs fixed GS' 3 wins, which would mean that GS isn't the talented team you think tney are, because it would be evidence that at least a chunk of their 73 wins in the regular season were jobbed.
No one can say that LBJ is imperfect. Hell, the Decision is one of the most infamous moments in sports history. He could also be a bit of a frontrunner (and the Warriors took a page from that book when they got it rolling this year). But he's as complete of a player as we've ever seen, and he's the most valuable player in the Association, hands down.
