Getting back to game play, I can't believe y'all are satified with GS erratic defensive play? Nobody talking about that. Everything can't come down to Green's absence.

How many points did Bron and Irving put up and why? Where was Iggabooboo? Lebron shot more threes than I've seen him shoot in while.

GS missed more shots than I'm used to as well......missed some passes too.

Shit Laimbeer was mild compared to his teammate Rick Mahorn. I've seen Rick Mahorn knock Jordan down to the floor, clothesline Dominique Wilkins, and shove Doug Collins down when he was coach of the Bulls. Before Mahorn ever became famous in Detroit he paired with C Jeff Ruland in Washington and he was equally nasty. They were called the Beef brothers or McFilthy and McNasty. They were one of the few frontlines in the league that gave Boston's Parish,Bird,and McHale problems. Rick Mahorn was a nasty mofo.

Ask Alonzo Mourning. Rodman was a headcase and brilliant at the same
time getting under people skin. I remember after a game between the Heat and Bulls
after things got physical between Mourning and Rodman, a reporter asked Mourning about the confrontation after the game and Mourning said don't ask me shit about that damn fool.

The Golden State Warriors came into this game with a commanding lead and were looking to close out this series by winning this game and raising the Larry O'Brien trophy in front of their devoted fans. Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers were desperately trying to hold on to any chance of coming back in this series and knew they had an uphill battle trying to win an elimination game in the road. However, they had one bit of good news in their favor, as the Warriors would have to win this game without the services of Draymond Green, who was suspended for this game after committing his seventh combination of technical and flagrant fouls of the postseason in game 4, which by NBA playoff rule meant he had to sit out this game.

The Cavs took great advantage of Green's absence, as the game quickly turned into the Lebron and Kyrie show. The Cavs came blazing out of the gate, particularly Lebron James, who, probably because of a sense of urgency, foregone his usual facilitating nature and started scoring himself, first by driving towards thne basket and later on when thw Warriors clogged up the lane, settling for open jumpers.

But Golden State would keep up their own pressure in the first half, led by Klay Thompson, who scored 27 points in the first half and would finish with 37 points in this game. The two teams would be tied at the half, with many of the fans expecting the Splash Brothers to storm out of the gate in the second half and bring the title home.

But this time, it was the opposing team's point guard who went on a tear. Kyrie Irving, who played solidly in the first half, went on an offensive explosion in the second. He would finish with 41 points, hitting 17 out of 24 shots from the floor. Lebron James also finished with 41 points while also grabbing 16 rebounds, dishing out seven assists, making three steals, and blocking three shots. More importantly, they held the Warriors to just 36 points in the second half. Part of that was due to great defense, but the Warriors' 3-point touch suddenly went cold. Stephen Curry finished with 25 points but shot only 8 for 21 from the floor. Angdre Igoudala added 10 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists, but Harrison Barnes had an atrocious game, scoring just five points on 2 for 14 shooting from the floor.

The Cavs did the impossible, silencing an otherwise rabid crowd of fans and sending them home disappointed, not being able to experience an NBA title in their home arena. More importantly, they extended this series and gave themselves another chance to even the series in front of their home fans.

Golden State leads series 3-2.

The Golden State Warriors got a taste of life without DraymondGreen in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, but if the Cleveland Cavaliers had their way, the All-Star forward would be sitting out Thursday's Game 6 as well.

During an episode of The Lowe Post podcast (via Dan Feldman of Pro Basketball Talk), ESPN's Zach Lowe reported the Cavaliers wanted Green to be assessed a flagrant-2 foul for hitting LeBron James in Game 4, which would have resulted in a two-game suspension.

Tensions between Green and James have been running high all series. Things culminated late in the fourth quarter of Game 4 when Green hit James in the groin after James stepped over him.

The Celevland Cavaliers managed to stave off elimination in game 5 of the NBA Finals by taking advantage of the absence of Draymond Green, who served a one game suspension for accumulating technical and flagrant fouls throught the playoffs. The Cavs also came in hoping for some inspiration from their home crowd, but the same situation happened last year in the NBA Finals and the Golden State Warriors were able to win the title on the Cavs home floor. While Draymond Green was back for this came, the Warriors would be without the services of Andrew Bogut, who sprained his knee in game 5. The big question coming into this game was whether the Cavs could sustain the momentum they built in game 5.

From the very beginning, the answer was an emphatic YES!! THe Cavs stormed out to a huge early lead and led by 22 points late in the first quarter. In fact, they led wire to wire and gave the Warriors fits throughout the whole game. The Warriors were held to a season low 11 points in the first quarter. Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes struggled to make shots, and Stephen Curry got into foul trouble early and would be hindered by fouls all night. Meanwhile, the Cavs were propelled by Lebron James and Tristan Thompson, who had a monster game of his own, finishing with 15 points and 16 rebounds. The Warriors would pull within 10 points in the second quarter, but the Cavs would hold them off to take a 16 point lead at the half.

The Cavs would lead by as much as 24 points in the third quarter, but Golden State would make one more run. Klay Thompson, whjo struggled mightily in the first half, woke up in the third quarter, scoring 15 of his 25 points in the period. Stephen Curry also woke up despite his foul trouble, and they would pull the Warriors within seven points early in the fourth quarter.

Bu then Lebron James took over, scoring some key jumpshots and making a couple of nifty assists to Tristan Thompson to put the game away for good. Lebron finished with 41 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, four steals, and three blocked shots. Kyrie Irving scored 23 points while J.R. Smith added 14 points. Stephen Curry finished with 30 points but fouled out of the game for the first time in four seasons, and he was ejected later on for throwing his mouthpiece after being called for his sixth foul, which then hit a fan. Leandro Barbosa scored 14 points off the bench for Golden State.

The Cavs did what many fans outside of northern Ohio thought was unthinkable, winning two games to force a decisive game 7 fopr the NBA title. Whatever happens in game 7, history is going to be made, as either one team will cap off an incredible historic season or a prodigal son will bring a title home to a city starved for glory for over 50 years and fulfill the promise he made when he returned to his hometown team.

Series tied at 3-3.
