Okay, I hadn't had porridge since I was a kid, and I don't even remember liking it all that much, but tonight I had a craving.

So I just made some porridge a minute ago, with some oats, water, some soya milk and some sugar. I have constructed the stodgiest food known to man, and it cannot be destroyed by conventional weapons.

Anyway I'm eating it now, and it tastes great. I'm full after only a few spoonfuls. However, I have fallen into the porridge trap - I've made far too much, and I know that by the time I get half-way through it'll be going a bit lumpy.

Anyway, I needed to share this with you all. Perhaps you'll take this as inspiration for your own porridge related experiments at home. It'll "keep you regular".

i didn't even know folks still ate porridge...never even eaten the stuff myself, i don't think they have it here in the states...is it like oatmeal?
